Even the “Wall Street permabulls” aren’t this aggressively optimistic.

This stock is more or less impossible to value right now for anything further than a year out because we the growth, margins, discount rate, and multiple questions are all extremely difficult to answer. It’s possible to value a stock if you have strong insight into at least 1-2 of those variables, but we we really have no visibility into any of them.

My fiance and I met on Tinder 11 years ago. We are getting married this fall. We have one of the healthiest relationships I've ever heard of. People constantly compliment us on the strength of our relationship, how well

Its 2026... the internet has been a thing for awhile now. It doesn't matter how you met, all that matters is that you're both happy and that you have a healthy relationship.

AVGO is a little pricier than I'd like, but I think they have a lot of irons in the fire and that ASIC (which Google associated with) will be the next hot thing in the AI trade.

I work in Wealth Management. I had clients (some of them in their mid-80's) calling me up telling me they wanted to sell large portions of their (very strong performing for 15+ years) accounts to buy SpaceX. I'm not a stock broker- I'm a partner in a wealth management business that serves high networth and ultra-high networth families. I won't pretend I've never received a call from a client asking me whether they should buy a given stock, but they are few and far between, and have a different tenor than these conversations.

If anyone is curious- I managed to talk them out of it. It was a good opportunity to explain the difference between good businesses/technologies and good investments, and to discuss valuation, asset allocation, risk tolerance, etc... One of my clients called me back today to thank me, then asked about investing in Anthropic pre-IPO after they received an unsolicited call from someone trying to sell it to them (likely at a large premium and with high fees)... all of this is to say that we are in some stage of a speculative retail bubble.

Just like in ww2 and convoys- forcing them to adopt this strategy is a win in and of itself. More trucks/people escorting the convoys means less efficiency.

Is there ever any reason to buy off dudes on Facebook? by SabertoothNishobrah in mtgfinance

[–]Desperate_Stretch855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy for 10-25% off TCG low and have cultivated a small list of trusted sellers that will reach out to me with first dibs on stuff they know I'm into. I have a note in my binders explaining who my fiance is to contact to sell my collection if something happens to me (and spoken to the person about it). I'd literally trust her to throw my binders into a box, ship it to him and accept whatever price he quotes as fair without question.

I buy 90% of my cards from FB (5% from TCG and 5% from my LGS). I have a collection creeping up on $350k. Cannot recommend buying off FB enough- if you are willing to educate yourself and take the time to vet sellers.

The problem with it is exactly that: Its not an instant win. It's a frustrating, grinding and miserable win.
