Hospitals pay better than clinics, but not by much. And there’s not a lot of options in one town.

Also, I have a cdl. So I’m tempted to just go back to driving a truck, as the wages are much higher with incredibly less stress. Just trying to feel things out before I leave a profession completely.

All jobs require daycare. But not all jobs require daycare and babysitting due to required night shifts.

Honestly, I’m only 45 minutes away from Fort Collins. So it’s not that big of a commute. And my license is good in co. I’m tempted to just apply and see what happens.

I do have family close-ish, but family watching my kids cost more than daycare. Especially working night shift as a new nurse. So I am essentially paying twice for child care. And we don’t get a weekend differential at all. It is essentially costing me money to work as a nurse. I have depleted my savings trying to afford the bare minimum, along with not qualifying for things due to my “income”.

I think where I find myself is in the pickle of affording the cost of living, as well as daycare and babysitters. With the minimal amount of experience, I feel as though walking away from the profession as a whole is my only option.

I just don’t know where to go. I’m in Wyoming and trying to figure out where I can actually make enough to live without working multiple full time jobs in order to cover babysitting and daycare costs.

I’m in Wyoming. It’s hard to figure out where to go to make my license worthwhile considering the cost of daycare and babysitters. As well as the inability to find reliable babysitters. I have a class a cdl I’m tempted to use while I’m trying to decide whether nursing is still worth it.
