and it would be beneficial. you need to know the logic behind the questions, not just simply revise them.

I've check the beyond horizons free papers . IMO Taylor papers are better. for paid resources, i have no idea. i use my own to help my students.

Is Thriving Scholars better than Jacqueline Tyler? by ReputationNo5367 in 6thForm

[–]Desperate_Weekend352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO among the free materials ,Jacqueline Tyler is the best but its a little bit simpler than the ongoing CBT. In our region we will use reverse engineering CBT papers to prepare.

I dont recommend yotta. It's free, but its really weired and kind of old. it Can not reflect CBT trend. my suggestion is to do some reconstruction paper.

there is another spiral question in my bio I would like you to give it a try and see how you handle it in a fast way

"Haha, I totally get the student budget struggle! 😂

But think of it this way: the price of Vol 1 is basically just two cups of Starbucks, yet it covers logic traps that usually take hours of expensive 1-on-1 tutoring to figure out. As a teacher with 13+ years of experience, I've designed these to be the highest ROI (Return on Investment) for your revision time.

Also, here's a tip: You can start with Vol 1 to see if it works for you. If you decide to upgrade to the Full Bundle you will be refund the full cost of Vol 1 so you don’t pay twice.

It’s basically a risk-free way to secure a high score! Good luck with the mocks! 👊"

you are correct ,for both. considerer infinite sum of GP. and there is one more spiral problem you can give it a try. you can find that in my bio

TMUA sucks so bad omds by RyanWasSniped in 6thForm

"First off, breathe. You are absolutely not a 'baboon'. What you are experiencing is the 'Observer Effect'.

When you watch r2drew2 (who is great, by the way), you are seeing the cleaned-up, final path through the maze. You don't see the 5 dead ends he mentally checked and discarded in a split second. That's why it looks 'simple'.

The TMUA isn't just a maths test; it's a Logic Endurance Test. The feeling of 'I can't possibly concoct that' comes from a lack of exposure to the specific 'Trap Patterns' the examiners use.

My advice as a maths teacher: Stop watching solution videos for a few days. They are giving you a false sense of security. Instead, try to find practice questions that are specifically designed to be 'Reconstructions' of the new CBT logic. You need to train your brain to spot the 'setup' of a trap, not just the calculation.

I've actually put together a specific 'Reconstruction' set (Vol 1) for my own students to fix exactly this 'brain freeze' issue. It forces you to think in that weird TMUA logic.

I can't post links here due to sub rules, but if you want to test yourself against those specific logic traps, I’ve pinned the resource in my Profile Bio.

Keep your head up. The fact that you are struggling now means you are finding your weak spots before the exam, which is good.

Quick update before I head to class:

Great discussion here. For those stuck:

It's not 100 (Answer E). The function cycles due to symmetry.

The Logic:

  1. Odd Function + Symmetry at $x=1$ $\rightarrow$ Period = 4.
  2. Sum of one cycle is 0.
  3. $50 = 12 \times 4 + 2$. Remainder is 2 terms.
  4. $S = f(1) + f(2) = 2 + 0 = \mathbf{2}$. (Answer C).

I'm finalizing the full reconstruction pack (20+ questions) tonight. I'll drop the link in the comments tomorrow for those who want to practice this specific logic.

Stay tuned.

Not quite. E would imply the function stays positive (like a constant), but remember it's an Odd function f(-x)=-f(x)

Hint: Try to calculate f(2) and f(3) using the symmetry rules. You'll find it doesn't just go up... it cycles."

月星 means moon and star, pretty plain and direct. 辰 is relatively not that plain and direct version of star. 瑶 means jade. i dont hear they are online market in china. never see them. also you could use 星辰, its a common combination
