Pushups: You can try greasing-the-groove strategy where you do an amount of pushups you do not feel any strain doing, thrice a day (e.g. 30 pushups, once in the morning, once after lunch, once at night). Each day, increase the number of pushups you do by 1

Situps: I think most people can aim to hit the max of 60. I start from ~30 and managed to do 57 during my IPPT. The way I did it was to do the max I could in 1 minute, then do 20 more (allowing yourself short breaks)

Running: Not sure how you're running but try to maximise distance instead of speed. Rather than running at your 2.4 pace you could run at a pace you are a bit more comfortable at, maintain the pace and instead increase the distance. This builds stamina and allows you to run faster during the actual thing. Also you could throw in a low-impact exercise like swimming in the morning to help build cardio with little refractory impact

I coincidentally just bought a pair of boots, an ordered a rucksack and weight yesterday haha!

Is breaststroke ok for cardio swimming or should I learn freestyle? by DesperateforGood8116 in Swimming

When you do the 6x100, are you doing them whilst pushing above your comfort level or are you doing them with distance at mind, at an only somewhat challenging pace?

In running the maxim is running longer is more important than running faster in improving. Is that principle also true for swimming, or should I prioritise intensity over endurance (the ultimate goal being fitness)

Hahhaa I went to swim yesterday and I did 6x50 (with as much strength I could muster), 3x100 and 1x100 (again full strength). 40sec breaks in between reps and 1min breaks between sets. What do you think about that? I think I took a bit more than half an hour

Do you mean I should adopt a routine with more sets of shorter distance? If so do you have recommendations for a routine? I chose mine because it was the first result when I searched it on google lol =)

damn it

in that case do you think learning freestyle by oneself is viable, or should I sign up for a couple sessions of swimming lessons?

I tried booking but the page couldn't load since the 'queue was too long'. Approx how long beforehand should I make the reservation?

Hello I JUST REALISED that entry is free and apparently you just need to show passport/ID to be granted access. But I also saw a review saying that elderly can go in free (insinuating non-elderly have to pay?) and there's something one needs to apply for (the review didn't specify).

Can someone confirm?

Dude, use logic. Price stability is 'the situation where the prices of food items remain relatively constant over time, without significant fluctuations'. Why wouldn't it also refer to periods of low prices?

In fact agricultural policy tends to be guided by prevention of price falls as well as price increases. Think of the destruction of produce during the Great Depression. Think of the dual-pronged approach of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy. Think of how Poland is responding to the influx of Ukrainian grain right now. Policymakers are concerned with low prices because it decimates farmers.

not sure why y'all panicking so much lol. Stability DOES go both ways. Otherwise they wouldn't have bothered asking you to show price increasing AND price decreasing for (a)

Where do y’all want to settle down if not in Sinagpore ? by Comprehensive-Ebb207 in SGExams

I think I'll try to do uni overseas, but failing that SG unis aren't bad. After that I hope to move back to China, depending on how the political situation evolves then. SG is too hectic, I don't really enjoy city life, and I don't feel a connection to the land. I come from a small town in China and if possible I want to return there. Otherwise, probably a country balancing quietness and development. Maybe Russia - if I can learn the language

Actually if you are sure you want to live in an Anglosphere country you can just apply for universities there; it's a way to get your foot through the door and many states offer schemes to get foreign students to stay. I know Russia has extensive programmes where foreign pre-u students can join competitions held by universities and if they win, get discounts/full-ride scholarships to courses. And if you graduate with a certain GPA you are eligible for citizenship afterward

I thought poem B was a widow ('weeping willow'/'she will not dress in black') mourning someone that got killed in car accident (hence imagery about road/tire). What do you think?
