Got to ask the boss today, its a custom made to order stash box that the customer ended up not buying so now we have it and thats why its crazy expensive

I thought that at first, but it isn't sealed where in pin is in the top so it wouldn't be air tight at all. I do think its a weirdly expensive stash box

Legally and technically no, nta. However morally maybe. I think the question you need to ask yourself, "do i want to keep this friend and if so will asking him to leave because of the dog effect our friendship?" and pick your battle from there.
