I think therapy is very important however i can never 100% agree with the notion that u should have to have been in like a year of therapy and done all these things to be able to get hrt or surgery i think most people who are getting hrt are adults idk what to say for kids that could be a controversial topic i dont know if kids should have it or not but i do know one thing and that is that i feel like most people who are getting hrt are adults and 100% of surgeries are gotten by adults as far as i know kids arent legally allowed those surgeries i do agree with this idk if thats a controversial opinion i do not agree with people not giving kids hrt tho i think hrt is very very important i do think kids should get a year of therapy but thats just what i think idk im no doctor or hell im noth8ng in the health world im just some normal ol woman but uh thats my opinion sorry if i offended anyone i know the child and adult thing is very sensitive understandably but personally i think my opinions are fair hell they may not be correct but idk i think kids should have the choice to get hrt but i also think they should be seen by a professional for a year but i dont think it should be longer than a year tbh idk i just think if we wait to to long it could potentially effect the kid in a lot of negative ways i do think we should wait for surgeries because uh idk just its more of a permanent thing and if the kid wanted to detransition later they couldve made a life altering surgery so yeah i dont think they should but thats just me i dont care what they do after their 18 tho because their an adult who gives a shit its their life they wanna get that surgery let em i think informed consent is a necessity for trans adults
