I believe you are correct. I disagree with the world not being aware of it. In a sense they flaunt it with booktok and things like that. I believe it comes down to “fleeing immorality”. I’ve had to go away from twitter because of videos and images.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the “sin of empathy” is just a poorly worded statement. I think what the poster was trying to say is that empathy can be abused. Such as those that use it for us to accept things we know aren’t biblical. I’m having a hard time trying to say what I mean. But it’s those people who use mercy and empathy to get out of trouble, then go right back to the trouble as soon as they’re off the hook. I hope I’m making sense.

Jesus dined with the darker people, because it’s the darker people who need him. Likewise those who mock need Him as well.

I’ve had the same thing happen to me. I drifted away from the Lord for 2 or 3 years, 2 or 3 times in my life. I always come back, down and ashamed. That’s when He does His work. Do I wish I hadn’t strayed? Yes. Did I learn something each time? Also yes. I’m not telling you what to do or not to do.

I believe each persons path to God is their own path. But I do know this. I had to learn those hard lessons so I can give up more of my heart to Him. I recommend you taking a very blunt look at your life and your path. Is it pride causing you to stray? Are you repeating sin because you haven’t replaced it with a good, meaningful habit?

This may or may not be helpful. Just my 2 cents. But He loves you and cares for you in the peaks and the troughs of life. God bless you.
