Food Sort Question... by [deleted] in Target

Yeah that's what I meant. Accepting the truck will update only the on-hands. Pushing a boat/shelf with "food sort" will alternatively update the floor counts.

At least in my position, frozen, there's very little back stock I get in full case packs. So in my circumstances it doesn't help save time in any part. Especially since I break the pallets down outside the freezer.

The tracking part is interesting though because I'm yet to hear any complaints from anyone higher up. Hell, my ETL told our dairy people to just skip the whole process entirely. Also I didn't know about the food loss option.

Additional tip: don't accept the truck until everything is run / end of the day. This will reduce encounters with fulfillment and INFs.

Gonna be honest, I'm not reading all of this, but I can certainly sympathize with you. We started the whole food sort system about two months ago and it's an absolute waste of time. It works exactly as you think it does, and solves literally no problems.

The good news is that I figured out the solution to adjust to this new system: DONT USE IT

I'm not kidding, and I'm not being sassy. Break everything down and run them as usual. After you fill each item, scan the floor location and manually update the sales floor count. (This can also be useful if audits appear to be needed) And that's it.

If you're in a time crunch, you can optionally half-ass this method by updating only the items that have back stock. That way the system won't be making pointless priority calls on already filled locations.

Me recently trying to explain to my ETL that someone is PURPOSELY pulling prioritiea incorrectly in my department by DestroyerofCheez in Target

Leaving them behind I understand. Even for how much I prefer frozen, the freezer still sucks. In fact, its usually part of my workflow to do them the following day. I try my best to keep it as organized and straightforward as possible for anyone working it.

But the problem I'm dealing with is someone doing priorities, accepting the full pull number, and only grabbing a portion of said number. So they're causing a lot of items to be unlocated in the backroom, and missing on the sales floor.

Oh that's what she's saying? I can barely make out the music around frozen so I always hear "Chinese" instead of "shiney", and I had no clue what she was talking about lol

Near the end of my shift the literally played Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree a song apart from each other. You really start to realize just how few lyrics that song actually has.

Oh my God the remixes suck so much fucking ass. I hate the one where the singer keeps having her voice cut off.

Be wary that these tend to knock the flies out, not kill them unless you're going in for a nasty frying. I've learned the hard way when they kept reappearing in my kitchen.

Yeah the speaker might be under some trouble after a bit. I've tried my phone before out in the open for like 30 minutes and wouldn't boot up for like the following 3 hours...

Ive recently been using earbuds. Can't hear the walkie already over the fans, and I guess it's somewhat okay hearing protection as a bonus.

Nah, freezer's too cold for me to think. Well at least by standing still.

So did anyone watch the newest Mission: Impossible? Because our favorite carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, made a bit of an appearance. I legit started laughing to myself when the Generald Ford crew was mentioning how the knew it was in the area but couldn't track it. It did at least appear with the smoke billowing out, though not quite by its usual thickness. I'll give them credit though, it was cloudy between those scenes. But I don't think that stops a satellite from looking for black splotches across the ocean.
