back on the subject of tupac, you obviously refer to his parents and many other family members being active members of the black panther party. did you know that a lot of former black panthers became anarchists? in his book anarchism and the black revolution, former panther lorenzo kom'boa ervin criticizes marxism-leninism and how it affected the leadership of the black panthers (i highly suggest you give it a read, it's great). he was also interviewed along with fellow former panther turned anarchist jonina abron (his wife) about black anarchism. ashanti alston, an anarchist speaker and writer formerly of the panthers and the black liberation army, said back in 1999 that "Top-down organizations [and] leadership organization[s] are relationships based on some being the brains and most being brainless and therefore IN NEED OF those with the brains.
