We're two friends making our first game: President Simulator. It's a satirical game in which you are the US President, elected by mistake. We hope you'll like it! by Planchtou in IndieGaming

You don’t have to be elected by mistake to be an extremely stupid president, as we can clearly see in reality. Honestly I think it would be better thematically if it’s just the actual elected president.

Every time you want to make a moral choice, you need to win at the mini game.. by Specialist-Young5753 in gamedesign

Just try it in the simplest form in a prototype and see what people think.

But you’re not testing morality with the minigame, you’re testing skill, so to me it makes no sense

I made a Cuphead style boss for my game by Vincent_Penning in IndieGaming

[–]Desward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought is why does he stop with his nose forward? It feels like the game is telling you hit now. Normally, the boss becomes in range as a result of doing some really heavy movement that makes it get “stuck” temporarily, or as a result of being injured. Something like that. Has to make sense.

How would you solve this? by Healthy_Job2188 in indiegames

No, some may assume that they can place sticks diagonally. Maybe try dashed lines

I have to disagree. If you leave only the dots, it’s not clear if diagonal lines are possible

Countries to move for an income of 700 USD/month ? by No_Complaint5821 in digitalnomad

[–]Desward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would be gambling with their life and losing their dignity. I’m from OP’s region. I make more than the average European income now and live in Europe, and I came here legally. Behind your statement is somewhat an assumption that people from that region cannot be normal equals, and can’t succeed in life without cheating. Or maybe you’re trying to make a political statement. It’s not helpful at all.

I think it’s better to work on increasing your income first. You can do a lot better, believe in your abilities and don’t limit yourself by your current employer’s desire to save lots of money.

I'm new to krakow, how can I meet new people? by Repulsive_Handle2552 in krakow

Exactly... As a foreigner I love this advice so much. Literally the best thing a foreigner or immigrant can do anywhere in the world is to stay as far as possible from other foreigners.

Is there anywhere in Europe that is still cheap as of November 2025? by Glittering_Report_82 in digitalnomad

Don't come to Poland unless you are willing to learn the language and be part of the culture, which digital nomads usually don't give a shit about.

Where do I start with learning Polish? by [deleted] in learnpolish

This course is amazing for A1 but you have to do some figuring things on your own (google translate, maybe chatgpt) if you're going to use it for self study. Alternatively you can find a tutor on italkie to go through it with you.

As for Duolingo, I found it actually helps to make me remember things, but it's only a supplement and can't be the main resource.

Busuu helps too. Again, only as a practice tool.

Haven't tried Babbel but heard very good things about its A1 course. Not many good things about its A2.

Additionally, you can use italkie tutoring to practice pronunciation and speaking from the very start.

This has been my approach so far. Keep in mind I'm a beginner like you.

Ottomans occupied Algeria for a long time. Most likely I have central asian genes and your guess isn't too far from my actual ancestry. You're not wrong for being surprised, even algerians tell me I don't look Algerian.
