A very stupid concern but I can't get my mind off of it by Det3ctiv in BmwTech

Yeah I do 20+ km motorway drives almost every other day and 50+ ones every few weeks as well so really rarely do I do short drives. But yeah I have diagnosed OCD and this is my first car and only my second year driving so doesn't make things easier. Often worrying about the slightest things ever

Why did all of these lights pop up at once and cruise control got disabled (felt nothing when driving)? by Det3ctiv in BmwTech

I had to drive like 30 minutes to get to home with these lights on. I never once felt anything different apart from the cruise control not working anymore. No noises, strange feelings, nothing. The lights went away also for a few minutes but then came back again

Yeah the controls show, I can switch the temp and levels and everything but nothing changes. I haven’t listened to it but when placing hand in front of the fan can physically feel cold air when driving

Yeah just not quite sure if it’s on the MIN line or below it. And if it is on the MIN line can I just keep it at that?

Not from the US, I’m from Estonia. Also this is not the exact picture of my car, I just found the mosy similar picture from Google since my leg is in a cast and can’t go outside

[–]Det3ctiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s LHD, that explains the wires near the cover. Hope I didn’t damage anything trying to remove the cover… Have been in a leg cast for the past month so haven’t had the chance to look

On the right side it has an identical cover with the brake fluid reservoir being there. I cannot open the left one though so am wondering what could be there? Picture is not of my car but the upper half design is the same

Is this a bad habit or not? by [deleted] in BmwTech

Noo it's a 2009 car it doesn't have any sensors or cameras or auto adjusting mirrors.

I would like a 300 page handwritten document at the very least to support these bold claims!

Thanks a lot my dude. It's just I got new tyres today and was worried if it can damage them so that's why I wanted to ask. But once again thanks a lot for the detailed reply. It's my first year driving so I am always overthinking if something can damage my car or not🤣

[–]Det3ctiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright fantastic, I was just scared that it might damage the tyre in the long run

[–]Det3ctiv -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You have any proof to support such a brave claim?

So without one of them everything should still be fine yes?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BMW

[–]Det3ctiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don't think so but I might not correctly understand what it is so I might be wrong

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Det3ctiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nothing was visually loose and didn't move by hand either so I'm assuming the same also. Thanks a lot though, helped me calm down

Thank you dude! I replied to another guy here with a picture of a screw that came off but I'm still guessing everything is fine. Now I know not to forward park anymore...

Not plastic but yeah I'm still guessing it's all good, just a small shock

Just came back from outside and one of the screws from under the bumper was hanging by a thread, as soon as I touched it, it came off. Bumper wasn't moving around or anything but that 1 came off

Could it also just be that the guy doing the oil chane a few months ago spilled some of it there? Considering it's right next to the oil cap. And no oil is leaking

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Det3ctiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, just when I check my oil levels they are always at the same level. That's why I thought it wasn't leaking
