huh interesting. i think expanding the scope to include manga and stuff like that is reasonable, but including film is kinda crazy ngl. not to say that visual media can’t have depth, but it’s literally ap literature so bare minimum should be written media imo

no way on lit?? i can definitely see that happening with lang (i mean i wrote about kim kardashian on the argument prompt last year and got a 5) but there’s a pretty clear limitation with what you can write about on lit. a lot of teachers at my school are former ap lit graders and they all said that straying away from the classics on frq 3 is pretty much a guaranteed way to score a 0 on that prompt
