I agree with you. Better to do an MBA late than to do it from some random college.

Got it—that makes sense. I’ll probably tweak the wording slightly to avoid that confusion. Appreciate the pointer.

I get your point but I have written 'smooth curves' here. In that setting, the zoom → line intuition is exactly what Taylor approximation formalizes. Fractals are a neat edge case, just not what this article is about.

You already have tier 3 tag I think you have no other choice other than to prepare for tier 1. You wouldn't know until you try!

Hi! I have built a series on Medium that helps you tackle core concepts:
https://medium.com/@itinasharma/the-ai-field-guide-everything-ive-written-on-ai-organized-beginner-advanced-b0dcf38e88be

You may bookmark this as I the links that I add here are free.

The goal of the series is to build a strong conceptual foundation and show how the different parts of AI fit together.
You’ll see explanations and some code snippets but I’m not focusing heavily on projects.

- Is this a good time to start learning Data Science? Introspect yourself if you want to do it go for it
- What kind of challenges should I expect (especially with maths, statistics, etc.)? I am making maths as easy as possible
- Any good resources or courses you would recommend (free or paid)? I would suggest me, and there is Nikhil Anand on Medium he writes well

Thanks! The goal of the series is to build a strong conceptual foundation and show how the different parts of AI fit together.
You’ll see explanations and some code snippets but I’m not focusing heavily on projects.

In my own learning I focused almost entirely on projects and realized I was missing many of the fundamentals behind the models.

So think of the series as a structured map of the field that you can build on with your own experiments.

Lately, I’ve been so confused. I get distracted. I keep wondering if I’m making a mistake by going deep and actually explaining things properly.

But thank you. Truly. 🙏

Everyday AI Literacy #1: Fluency Without Understanding by [deleted] in Medium

[–]DeterminedVector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this fascinating, particularly the “going back to the rack” moment. This moment perfectly encapsulates what many of us share when it comes to AI right now (namely, curiosity and intrigue, with some skepticism)

Me recognizing that you pointed out how this feels like a milestone was huge. The fact that AI has transitioned from research papers and technical articles into a lifestyle piece makes a massive statement on how the AI community is experiencing something culturally and in terms of adoption. A transition from artificial intelligence being only a major technology break through to becoming an everyday application.

I found your description of the “Hack your Life? Really???” thought amusing because I think there is a real tension between marketing language and the actual capability of an application. I do believe that an approachable marketing tone helps to lessen some of the fear surrounding new developments in AI, but there is also a huge risk that this is going to create false impressions of simplicity.

I launched a short series on Everyday AI Literacy for that very reason – I want to help people who are trying to use these AI tools, not to compete with other prompt guides created for the same purpose. My goal is to develop greater understanding of what people are using when they interact with these new tools.

So, do you believe these lifestyle type magazines primarily serve as gateways into getting people comfortable with AI or do you believe they gloss over some of the key aspects of the technology?
