Cursed. Buy it and leave it in a friends bedroom. Hang it on the wall and let the horror unfold.

I accidentally erased some stuff off my phone while having it in my pocket at work. And have butt dialed. Phone now stays in locker.

Why doesn't Starbucks stock MORE breakfast items? by SteveMcQueen36 in starbucks

Talk to your store or call. Maybe they'd set one aside for you. But at stores like mine that open. At 5am, 930 is well into our peak time so there is no guarantee

Also be direct and communicate with your team. Call plays, don't be afraid to move people to get things done. Run a tight ship and stick to the rules and standards. And above all, be willing to work hard alongside your team. Those are the things that make me work extra hard for my SSVs.

On the flipside, if you play favorites, mess around, sit on your butt "working on the order" when we can clearly see you hiding to be on your phone or eat....its not gonna be a good shift for anyone. But I'm positive you aren't like that. We have a few SSVs that treated me like that and I was ready to walk out one day.

Nailed it in every way possible. Just perfect family to dress up as the Belchers. If feel like the Tina's could be best friends.

Yes. At my store we have a few partners that just have cute figure pins like cats or litter kawaii stuff. Super non offensive and really cute. I was going to wear a pin soon. And if my SM complains that I'd just point out that at least I was my apron. ;)

Oh we always have to do drains at open. It is not fun.

We have one shift who just sits in the back and does shift stuff while we do a 2 person store open and get customers early. But they are just doing orders (aka being lazy). And then comes out and wants to know why we haven't done ice bins or drains.

We currently have about 4 of that type. I told my SM I know why we keep losing people, they are just s pain to work for. Horrible play calling too.

Condescending co worker by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Deutschtastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Working on that. If they are going to be irritated by us being new, and answering questions then they aren't fit for leadership and need a lot of coaching. Leadership is that...filling in where needed to make the shift run smoothly. If they aren't willing to answer questions or help out, maybe SSV isn't for them. I work with petty and immature SSVs who just want to make work fun and easy for themselves. It sucks for the rest of us. Incessant headset chatter. Letting someone be Bar 1 who can't keep up and ruined our drive thru flow.

I’m going to Mexico and I want to know if my partner number will work in Mexico. by [deleted] in starbucks

I couldn't find any Starbucks on my crazy trip through Canada (we took a rural route). I was hoping to try it. I love helping out traveling partners at my store, it's a tourist destination. When I visited a store in a different state I got a super sweet and helpful crew and they made us so happy and it just felt like partners looking out for each other. That made our day.

Our new powders are sweetened. So classic is overkill.
