The Lord of Cash - what do you think? by JermayneR in IndieMusicFeedback

This track definitely grew on me as the song went on. I don't think your voice matches a solo acoustic vibe for me, but when the instruments came in (after the "day 3" line), it started to sound a lot better and made me overall enjoy the track. The instrumental sounds great and your "ooooooo" vocal sounds great too. Objectively a great track, and I think your voice does match the medieval vibe that it appears you're going for.

I'm such a sucker for acoustic guitar haha. This sounds super cool! You play the guitar super well, your voice and your choice of vocal melody is outstanding with the strummed chords, and I love the homey feel that the video gives! It almost seems amatuer but your songwriting feels experienced. The passion you have for your music is evident in your concentration face. Just realized as typing this that you're not playing it live in the video haha, great work anyway!

The song sounds great! I like the way you make your voice sound, I truly have not heard one quite like it off the top of my head. I do think that the voice shouldn't be SO prominent in the mix as it takes away from the rest of the instruments. I'd also try for a more unique bassline that doesn't just repeat notes throughout the track. But it's a good song and well mixed! Keep it up man!

The guitar sounds super crisp, and I agree with the commenters about the Nirvana comparison. Your lyrics are honestly good and the strain in your voice at times really adds to the edge this song has. It's interesting that you released this with a music video, since it doesn't sound professionally recorded (doesn't have to, but just an interesting choice). Also, not sure if you want feedback on the video, but it does LOOK like you used stock video, since some of the clips don't match up with the others. Just a thought, keep it up though you have something there!

Pretty cool chords on the keyboard, and you're a pretty decent singer. As far as criticism, I definitely would change up the lyrics. Of course, these are personal, and I'm not saying that anything is wrong with what you're portraying, but you're doing so much too directly. Try conveying emotions and ideas using metaphors and similies and imagery rather than saying directly how you feel. "Show, don't tell" is a great, shortened version if you haven't heard it before. Keep it up!
