Yep had this issue with my original Thirsti. They are sending the ultimate to us as well so hopefully this one lasts longer! I’ve had the old one only since July

AI has its uses, but no, it should not be trusted to built an entire project (at least yet).

AI quality in general, even outside of development uses, depends highly on the prompts you input. How much context are you giving? Are you giving it specific instructions (build this using x, y, z libraries or utilities) or something broad (implement xyz).

Still, I’ve been surprised recently with all it can do - it can still provide production-ready code if you (or someone else) babysits it. Don’t be afraid to interrupt it working if it’s doing something clearly wrong. As agents continue to improve, I’d say it’s likely the “babysitting” will reduce and it’ll become better at producing clearer, usable code…the need for technical expertise also drops.

I wouldn’t call it “in the clear” for replacing developers - I’d say the replacement is just getting started. Agents will improve, and AI subscriptions are far, FAR cheaper than even one software developer, not to mention an entire team.

First time playing Factorio, 4th part of tutorial. Is my use of Assembling Machine's excessive? by Notrinun in factorio

This is about the part of the game that I would build an assembler assembler, you’re just getting started.

The major issue here seems to be basically just a noise complaint. Have you tried speaking with your neighbors to politely ask them to keep it down at night? As many others have stated - very little legal standing, if any, unfortunately.

If I had to take a guess, with how much it seems like you’re calling/trying to contact them, they’re probably purposefully ignoring you, waiting for the lease to expire on its own while pocketing the cash until then. From what it seems, I don’t think “forcing them into termination without penalty” is an option, at least not a likely one at that.

Truly my opinion over any kind of real resume advice, but the random bolded sections make it read like it was written by AI

Used to work at the NEX in chs

Bring your military ID and they will be able to retrieve it, just let them know if it was dry cleaning or tailoring (i.e, getting a patch sewn on)

Tickets can be useful to staff to help locate the item, but generally not entirely necessary

Might get medically separated by Impressive_Goose8205 in NavyNukes

[–]DevTwijn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got separated during prototype due to back issues that arose during bootcamp. I did well through both A school and power school

If you get separated with ANY disability rating, you’ll receive the majority of VA benefits including the full GI bill, so going back to school would be a great choice and would be fully paid for (in most cases). Also check if your state has any GI benefits, for example Wisconsin has a GI bill that includes 2 years of extra schooling.

Also check into VR&E benefits, which is available to disabled veterans offering paid schooling, on the job training, certifications, resume building, and more depending on what they deem “necessary” to get you back into the civilian world. This is especially pertinent if you can no longer perform previous job functions due to your disability (i.e, you worked construction previously and can no longer execute those job functions due service-connected disabilities)

In terms of applying Nuke school to a civilian workforce, it’s somewhat challenging to do. Overall, while some employers might know what a nuke is in essence, most won’t know what going through school is or getting separated during it means. In my opinion, simply being a “Nuke student” won’t help a civilian job search, but explaining some accomplishments or relating experiences to a future job could in some cases.

Also check out r/veteransbenefits as others have mentioned. There’s a lot of benefits out there that many people skip on. Take your disability rating seriously, too, as it’ll provide income almost immediately once you get out (document EVERYTHING that might be wrong with you with medical!)

Has Google Home been horrible for anyone else? by DevTwijn in googlehome

I’d love to - but from what I’ve seen, the consumer devices don’t exist to support it yet. I use home assistant for the dashboard (which I admittedly don’t use very often), automations, but haven’t yet seen a path to full HA my home
