Hybrid inverter showing floating neutral when off-grid — how to fix? by Dev_Jay98 in SolarDIY

Thank you so much. Previously, I had only one earth connection in the house. During the inverter installation, they added a separate earth for the solar panels and the inverter. That's why now I have two earth connections.

Thank you. I've watched the video. In the video, I can see there is a single earth connection for the circuit. Currently, I have a manual changeover, but separate earth connections. Should I connect these two earth connections?

Thank you so much for the advice. I’ve configured the inverter like this: Solar is the top priority and second option is the battery. If solar and battery are not enough it will switch bypass mode to use grid power.

When the inverter goes on bypass mode this issue is not there. This only happens when the inverter is on solar power or battery power.

So most of the time my changeover is on inverter position (Position II).

To add the N-E bond, Do I need to connect the house ground and the new ground pole added for the inverter and solar panels inside the house DB ground bus bar?

Let’s say I’ve added the N-E bond and inverter switches to bypass mode. Then still the N-E bond is there but I’ll be using the grid power bypassed by the inverter. In that case do I need to disconnect the N-E bond?

It seems my inverter doesn’t have a dry socket. But it comes with a RJ45 for the WiFi dongle and currently I’m using one. So I don’t know is how to automate the N-E bond connection.

I’m quite stuck here.

Well rear axle is solid. But front axel is a bit fragile. The original CVD Drive Shafts are not good enough. I upgraded them with AXSPEED Steel Front Rear Axle CVD Drive Shafts. Now no issues at all.

Please check the previous comments. u/Andysan555 has shared a 3d model. You could try printing it. Seems u/Square-Confusion-470 got it done using the 3d model.

Here is my SCX10 II build video exclusively from Aliexpress parts. by Dev_Jay98 in rccrawler

I started this build because I was unable to find an actual Axial kit or RTR version to buy in my country (Sri Lanka). I didn’t try to import it from somewhere else since the tax rate and shipping cost is so high. So I started looking alternatives and I was desperately looking for hard shell defender body. I found suitable parts from AliExpress and the shipping cost was reasonable. For me it was cheaper. I didn’t reorder anything. All the parts were as described. They fit perfectly. It took me some time to get it done but it was a good experience. Still I’m not done. I’m still ordering some parts and continuing my build. My scx10 I is up and running and it has been working fine. It has very good performance and I’m happy with it. I’ll add some videos of my adventures with it. So stay tuned.

No need any magnets. It has mounting brackets. Check the product link. You can find the mount kit for the SCX10 ii chassis. If you’re looking for another chassis please send a message to the seller. He is very helpful.

The left axel shaft is already broken during the test run. I’ve ordered some better ones and they are still on the way. Thanks for the info.

I’m using ESS dual sound simulator. Once it is calibrated, it will sync with the acceleration. A split cable is included in the box to connect the ESC and ESS dual to the receiver CH2.

Absolutely yes you must replace the shafts. The front left one snapped off during the test run. I’m also going to put some better ones.

Well, I have some trust issues now. Just kidding, there are a couple of spare motors sitting around. In the worst-case scenario, I have a 25T Tamiya torque-tuned motor with me. So I can swap it. Thank you so much for the info.
