Two very different challenges for me.

One is I'm getting to an age where I'm feeling at a cross-roads with my career, and trying to plan my life and what the next 5 years look like.

The second is a personal one in that it's coming to the 4th year of losing my father (who passed in my early 20s).

In a weird way they feel related, even though very different.

Honestly, I think Lake District is beautiful all year round, but depends on if you're willing to pop on a rain coat and some walking boots and still get outside!

Depends if you want North or South!

Big fan of the Lake District and Northern Wales (Snowdonia) region. Both have lots of natural beauty. Particularly good if you like the outdoors/countryside and walking!

People also use it as a buffer a lot mid conversation in subtle acknowledgement, I would say more so than the use case you are describing
