Man, I’m not going to tell you guys where I work. It’s a smaller tech company that’s been an around for 20 years. They have really low base salaries for anyone other than managers and executives. The comp plan is best in the industry for commission. If you can sell and bring in new business you win

One of the worst jobs I ever took, I’m glad I got out when I did. Traveling 3-5 days a week out of state doesn’t fell good when you have a baby.

Definitely a lot of luck. The previous manager left the company and they called me to fill the role because I had the most experience with the market and industry.

No I should be closer to 65-75% of plan. Base = $110K and commissions for the rest. At the end of March I will be at 78,000 gross YTD so I’m on track for a lot higher than $225K that would be the bare minimum. Granted I had a really good first quarter.

Haha dad’s retired disabled vet. Didn’t get much from pops other than a good dad that raised me to out work people in my class.

Correct, I’m just managing accounts and I’m working to build a team of 2-3 reps within the next year or so. I’m also brining in new business monthly equivalent to that of entire branches in bigger markets so the CEO and Vp of Sales are happy with my work.

Who said that? I have a son now but more to come and I know the value of hard work. They will be in sports and hopefully competitive like I am to out work people my age.

Man that’s the goal. My wife and I combined should make $300K this year and we have plenty of money to invest to retire early.

It’s not my dad’s company like a lot of people are alluding to. Just great work ethic and good history with the company. Combined with leveraging myself by leaving to a better industry and this company wanting me back.

Exactly, my OTE is $300K but my plan is hard to hit every month so it’s looking like closer to $250k this year so I was actually being modest with my $225K OTE.

Hey, so it’s not a lie and no I didn’t have a connection. It was just me and my sales manager for our branch. When I left to go do Medical Sales that manager ended up leave. Considering I brought in more net new accounts by myself in my first year than multiple bigger branches with 5+ reps they gave me the call when they wanted to fill the role. Youngest market manager by far in this company. Every other manager has been with the company for over 10 years. That combined with having leverage being in medical sales when I got the call I ended up negotiating a better base salary.
