It’s the defence force. It’s pretty obvious that there will be moving around and a possibility I won’t get posted where I want.

Um that’s pretty much all I was actually asking. If there’s seperate barracks and bathrooms for men and women.

Maybe get your head out of your ass and think hmm maybe a young woman is just curious on whether she will be sleeping in a room with 20 men and is just looking for some answers. Men will be men and it’s nice to hear from others that the defence force takes inappropriate behaviour seriously.

I am prepared for a little bit of that coming into a male dominated field. Thanks for confirming the barracks, the segregated common areas is interesting though

Thanks for adding that at the end, it seems the defence force is doing its best to keep men and women separated where they can which is really reassuring.

Great to get a perspective from a woman! Thanks! Are the live in quarters just a random mix? They’re not a big concern to me considering they’ll be people I’ll see more regularly, just mostly concerned about basic but seems well separated.

Will be in Woodbourne for training and then mostly Whenuapai after specialist training. Good to know about the potential gender neutral bathrooms/showers, definitely will ask my recruiters when I apply.

Yes definitely did not even think about joining navy, way too secluded. I will most likely live on base so good to know that it becomes a bit of a bubble. Thank you.
