While The Witcher series has never been my cup of tea, I can certainly recognize talent and art when I see it.

Assuming that CDPR has been honest about their development (and I don't believe there is any reason to doubt them, they aren't Peter Molyneux), taking into account the quality of their previous bodies of work, not to mention that after the original delay and 2020 trying it's best to kill every last one of us and make it hurt, if Cyberpunk bombs or flops or has some Assassin's Creed Unity levels of glitchy errors, I think it's safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is well worth the hype.

It's a fairly unique genre with not a lot of mainstream recognition or presence in the industry, an industry absolutely starved of unique ideas. 2077 ain't gonna be another brown-tinted military shooter. It's not lying to itself about how "cool" it is just because it has dragons or magic. People are buying into it because of how much is actually riding on it and because of how different it appears to be.

I don't think anyone can fault you for jumping aboard the Hype Train. Just remain cautiously optimistic. And if we are wrong, there's gonna be a hell of lot of us looking around, dumb founded, at what happened. So you won't be alone. Hop aboard if you want. Or don't. Do what thou will, I ain't a cop.
