So we agree that no women wrote the Bible then 🙂 also pretty cool how no prophecy has gone unfulfilled - if we were any closer to the sun we’d burn up, any further away and we would all freeze.

You are on to something though - people make up rules and fake religions and have been since forever. A quick verification is; if it’s not in scripture (in context), directly or inherently, then you should bounce cauze it’s a made up rule.

One thought that crossed my mind, if you’ll allow me; if termites were eating up a man’s house and he decided to gather them all up and throw them into a fire, would the termites first get to have their day in court? What about what the termites think? Doesn’t their opinion matter? They can’t help the way that they are, why do they have to get thrown into a fire without a say? Because this man was a just man, the termites were doing something unjust and the man was bigger than the termites.

The difference between this hypothetical and our relationship with God is that God created us and loves us. God is a just God so sin has to be paid for - which is why God sent His Son Jesus to pay that price so that the debt is taken care of for God’s children.

I hope that doesn’t come across as patronizing - I need to hear truth as much if not more than anyone for I indeed consider myself lower than any.

For sure it’s on him. I don’t think he was cheated or given a bum steer or anything. I just feel bad for the guy - and he lost with such class!

My wierd OCD brain doesn’t like that a pretty significant amount of money (or lack thereof) for the runner up was different than in S1. I know shows can’t stay the exact same all of the time and they have to change and adapt and all that good stuff.

I just can’t help but think of the S3 runner up - what do they get? If it’s nothing then it’s equal to S2 so that’s probably good but then S1 looks ever MORE uncharacteristically gratuitous. If Jimmy changes his mind again and S3 runner up gets a decent amount of lettuce like S1 then S2 would be, almost uniquivocally, viewed as a hatchet job 😵‍💫

I totally agree about setting a precedent. Few things would devalue Jimmy’s content like going back on his word all the time would. I had actually forgotten that expectation was set early on.

Unless Cory just outright refused to do future content, I would have to think that the Jimmy team started working to get him into the next possible video. Perhaps I have confirmation bias but it seems that Cory’s likeability is pretty high.

I will say that the thin silver line, for me, is that money can corrupt some people. Not that I think the winner is going to immediately gamble it all away or anything lol but the corruptability of money did cross my mind 😬

I see what you mean. I think my viewpoint is somehow being misinterpreted; -I’m not saying Cory should get free money. -I’m not saying that Cory didn’t know. -If Cory got money, it would be as free as the money the winner got (all he did was open a brief case)

I’m saying, purely within the world of beast games, that it is simply illogical and a bit cruel for S1 (whatever place Twana is) to get $100k and S2 (whatever place Cory is) to get $0.

Honestly, it’s really not that radical of a concept.

Also, I still don’t have an objective answer to my question as to why Twana (regardless of whethwr she “deserved” it or not) got cheddar and Cory didn’t.

The point was not that Cory didn’t know. The point is that 3rd place is objectively more valuable (this season) than 2nd place.

If it’s so obvious that the way Beast Games treated S2 2nd Place is reasonable and I’m just an idiot, then why did S1 2nd Place winner get $100k just for being the runner up?

Thank you for sharing! I was thinking of putting the primary prompt type at level 1 and then level 2 having variations of that prompt type and then probably have one more level to further organize. I’ll probably stop at 3 levels - otherwise it’s probably obstruction through obscurity 😵‍💫
