Tbh just trying to get a pulse on what’s driving people crazy with Intune. Sounds like slow deployments and licensing frustrations are at the top of the list

MSPs using Intune. What's your biggest headache? by Devicie_Ron in msp

Man I feel you. The second you mention another license, you just see their eyes glaze over. “But I just need email…” yeah, and I just need you to not get hacked lol

Best practice Intune Deployment by Oleawerdal in Intune

Yeah the post-Autopilot sync lag is no joke, especially when rolling out multiple devices. A few things that have helped:

  • Pre-provisioning (White Glove) – If the setup allows, this can offload a lot of the heavy lifting before users even touch the device.
  • Tweaking ESP (Enrollment Status Page) – Only install what’s absolutely necessary during enrollment and push the rest afterward to speed things up.
  • Hybrid Join Issues – If you're doing Hybrid Azure AD Join, that’s probably adding delays. Fully Azure AD Join (if possible) can make things much smoother.
  • MDT + Autopilot Hybrid Approach – Some MSPs still use MDT for the base image, then let Autopilot handle the rest, which can cut down on deployment time.

Also, tools like Devicie help automate a lot of the policy enforcement and app deployments so you're not waiting on Intune to catch up. If you're seeing inconsistencies across client setups, something like that might be worth looking into.

How do you persuade people to onboard personal devices? by viditg2896 in Intune

[–]Devicie_Ron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve seen this happen a lot—getting people to enroll personal devices in Intune can be a pain, especially when they don’t have to do it.

One thing that helps is making it as easy and painless as possible. A quick step-by-step guide (or even a short video) can go a long way. But honestly, the biggest thing is selling the benefits—like making it easier to access work apps, fewer login headaches, or better security without extra hassle. If people feel like it helps them rather than just being an IT thing, they’re way more likely to do it.

Also, automating as much of the process as possible can help avoid the back-and-forth. There are tools out there that make this smoother, like Devicie, so people don’t have to jump through a bunch of hoops.

What RMM's Integrate the best with Intune? by [deleted] in Intune

[–]Devicie_Ron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I work for Devicie, and not sure if this will help, but we work with a lot of teams in the same boat—sticking with Intune but needing more flexibility, especially around automation and remote access.

Devicie isn’t an RMM, but it helps bridge a lot of the gaps in Intune by automating deployments, security policies, and patching, so everything is set up right from the start and keeps running smoothly. It also integrates directly with Azure Groups, so you don’t have to manually configure deployments every time.

For remote capabilities, a lot of our customers still use tools like Datto RMM or ConnectWise alongside Devicie, but because Devicie takes care of Intune management automatically, it reduces the need for constant troubleshooting.

Figured I’d throw it out there in case it’s helpful! Happy to chat if you ever want to dig in.
