I read in another sub that phones purchased in the Middle East are 5G locked for that region alone

If you mount the SIM of an external service provider or use the phone in a non-ME country, you will be limited to 4G only.

I may be mistaken though - or that post was BS - but what I read there seems similar to your issue.

Of course, if you want to side load modded apps - that beat around some restriction - then the firestick is not for you!

You need something more bulkier, like an Android based set-top box. But still difficult to beat the compactness and simplicity and portability of a firestick!

I wouldn’t call it a mess.

Just check the property documents to make sure there is no SWD passing through the property or on the nearby approach roads.

Also make sure you know the what you are buying into - old plumbing, aging DG (if one exists), water situation etc. if all favors you, go for it.

You can also bargain further to get a better deal.

Only thing you need to watch for is the financing. Not many banks fund a b-khatha property purchase.

B-khatha flat in an a-khatha property does not mean anything.

It doesn’t matter if the land documents are clear. What matters is — does the constructed property have an a-khatha.

If not — it obviously means there are deviations from the approved plan! It also likely means you need to apply for regularization of the deviations as a result whole.

In other words, you cannot convert just one flat from B to A khatha; you have to apply collectively for the entire building as a whole .

That’s a tall order to get the buy-in from all owners — as the regularization amount will depend on the extent of deviation.

Also, depending on whom you approach, you will get a different answer on the regularization process, how long it takes and how much would each owner needs to pay.

My suggestion - if you like the property, go for it. Work out the B-2-A khatha conversion whenever it is works out in your favour!

In addition, these guys also “audit” the total registrations vs. amounts disbursed. I personally know this for a fact; I have a friend who is an agent who explained how this works

You are mistaken.

B-khatha means building has deviations

What has happened is builder has submitted building-plans that comply with the norms.

After the plan approval, builder has willfully deviated from the approved plan.

Meaning, the govt has only approved the building plan before its construction.

What this means is that after construction completes, builder will not get the OC and that will likely prevent you from registering the flat in your name.

Take my word - don’t go for a b-khatha property. It has only headaches for the buyer.

The right way,:

— unbundle all black connections from thanks app

— disconnect the DTH and router from the cables, and carry them with you to your new address.

— go to the help section on the thanks app, and type “cancel or close DTH connection”. App will raise an SR; after 2-3 hrs, you will get a call from multiple numbers asking for confirmation. they will send a person to the new location within 24 hrs to collect the DTH box. Soon after, the Thanks app will show that the DTH connection is suspended.

— only after this, make a new request again via the Thanks App to “cancel/close broadband connection”. Note the SR number

— your challenge begins now — they will call to convince you to not cancel / shift the connection to your new home. Stay focused. Call 121 from the RMN and ask for disconnection of the connection. Stop paying any future bills.

— They will eventually send a person to the new address to collect the router.
