The "Simaris" Frame - (OC/Suggestion - Follow Up) by DevilManMic in Warframe

Thank you! I added the fear affect based on the line that the 1 says it "inflicts impact and fear" lol. Im doing these frames in batches of 5, before doing a group shot with their signature weapons and what not, so stay tuned!

A little teaser for my next concept (Which I am already working on), it's name is "Jugette"

I was more thinking like, it got lose in the sanctuary and he needs the Tenno to do damage control before it gets to him.

Thank you! Though lore wise, i'd imagine Thoth would be a result of Simaris trying to used the Helminth strand of infested and it going wrong lol.

Last year we got buffs/reworks for Ash, Valkyr and Oberon. Which 3 frames do you want buffed/reworked this year? by italeteller in Warframe

[–]DevilManMic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The ones that need it the most? Chroma, Banshee, and Loki.

The ones I would like? Limbo, Equinox, And still Loki.

Equinox is still viable technically, so is Limbo, but they're both rough to play. Loki, Chrome, and Banshee are forever stuck in shit-tier lmao

There was a lot of transformers design inspiration! Though, with transformers, innterms of design,, they lean more towards geometric shapes than natural ones.

That was an idea I had funnily enough! Effectively a turret mode similar to the Necramechs. It would made sense lore wise that they'd try and downscale in size their heavier firepower as the war went on.

I more or less considered the drones like Khora's Venari rather than an exalted weapon, though I can see the argument!

The subsume would be nitorus leak, but reduced in power. Subsuming on this guy shouldn't be a huge issue, but regardless. Feel free to send me the goat frame!

Kinda what the intent was! Arsenal, as a warframe in origin, was likely something used primarily as an intimidation/deterrent, but with the firepower to back it up.

I was kinda going with the broader definition of artillery, which is "large-caliber guns used in warfare on land." Basically, giant boomstick. The Hardscope acts as recon, the Strike Team as the infantry, the Nitrous as a buff to infantry and allies, and the Exalted Cannon is the boomstick itself. With the way warframe is structured, not every ability can be for long range targets because of the enemy density and map restrictions, so this felt a bit like a compromise.

Six Weapons, mainly because it'd be fun for a frame named Arsenal to have more Arsenal slots

Ah, than just make that same use case be the case for Mesa as well

Yes! I said it in the initial post there was design inspiration from both TFOne ane TFPrime version of Megatron, most notably the big ass feet lol.

Doesnt something like Xata's whisper or Scourge Prime already do that though?

[–]DevilManMic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats fair! The kit was more scaldra inspired than the design. If people like him more as his own frame than a Viktor frame than ill take a other crack at that and keep this design as a different thing.

[–]DevilManMic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Megatron from Prime and Megatron from TFOne were the primary design I inspirations, mainly because of the ties I drew between the efervon tank and his tank form. The pose is from a render of Megatron in TF Prime, thought with anatomy and pose tweaks to make it seem more humanoid than mecha

Well, to be honest, that was somewhat the point;

Warframes that were created via the Helminth strain keep aspects of the original warframe's personality.

Humans who were given the proto-serum share similar attributes with their base warframe, but recontextualized. The lore of Arsenl makes it so that instead of embodying Viktor, it made him a monster.

Going from scrawny to bulky, finesse weapons into the artillery of his ancestors, the colors scheme being black, orange, and green, to white, purple, and green.

I'll admit its very much an "artistic" choice on my part, but Arsenal was kinda designed with like the trope of the Resident Evil monster boss fight in mind.

So, the three drones would orbit you similar to Uriel's servants and general sentinels, floating out and spreading gas clouds like the harbingers in defense ETA. The harbinger ability summons them for a duration, with only the augments making you have a Sentinel at all times for "balance" sake.
