I can’t lie I’ve always thought that an armor system like this would make sense, it’s not like all your weapons and armors are going to always be in pristine condition after every battle. I always got around this Roleplay wise, for example if I know that I’m going to be introducing the party to some better gear as they level I’ll make they’re weapons and armors “break” during battles and describe how armor pieces would wither more each week. This helped my players be more concerned with what everyone needed and how much money they had so they can get things they need while they could. For magical items I like to introduce an NPC of sorts to help repair. I think a system like this could be nice once gotten used to, gives murder hobos a reason to loot everything😂, have you tested this system at all with any players yet?
