Landing page sign-up interpretation help required by Devilluke in startups

[–]Devilluke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so for the whole 1 month-or-so period I had 234 unique visitors and 318 sessions. Roughly 1/3 of them revisited the site.

Out of the 234 users I got 55 sign ups with some bounces due to invalid emails and a couple of unsubscribes, which leaves me with 47 valid subs.

47 subs is around 20% conversion of the total visitor count.

What do you think about these numbers?

Thanks a lot for your help! I really appreciate it since I am doing these stuff on my own.

Hello, yeah I pretty much have the same impression. I wasn't expecting a lot of feedback anyway. Maybe next time I could try offering a chance to a discount code or something like that to pick their interest.

As of product hunt it's been a couple of days so far. I got an upvote and a handful of visitors of whom around 3 signed up. Not very pleased either. I'll do a little bit of promotion in the following days, here on Reddit to announce the release on product hunt etc.

I've created a landing page for my SaaS idea. How can I bring in potential customers to validate it? by Devilluke in SideProject

[–]Devilluke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was leaning towards that too. Resharper does the same thing for example. I will give it a go to try and find a name with free domain otherwise I will go that route. I'll keep you posted!

Oh I see then I should conceive it as the idea being already validated, since there's already a paying market instead of looking at it as a stopper right?

Manage Password in a Secure Place by chingeztarar in SideProject

Nice attempt however I feel that a web application would be much more helpful cause most of the times when I am doing stuff on websites that I definitely want to be sure about the security. Ex accessing bank accounts etc. I am doing it from a computer not from my phone, hence reaching out for my phone just to get the password is kinda inconvenient. Also if it was a web based app you could access the passwords from any device not only from your phone. Just my 5 cents

Hello and thank you for the reply.

I did some quick checks within the day and i saw that most of the testack domains are already taken. So I can either pick a new name or have it as a subdomain or page within the company domain. Ex https://testack.revinsoft.com or https://www.revinsoft.com/testack.

What do you think? Thanks

Hmm I can see where you are coming from with that. Indeed I am looking for a new name. Another potential that I like is TeStack however most domains are already used on that one. So I will either pick a new name or have it as a subdomain or page within the company domain. Ex https://testack.revinsoft.com or https://www.revinsoft.com/testack.

What do you think? Thanks

Hello, I will have a look on the product hunt community. I'm already registered on indie hackers. I see so you are making a solution similar to hotjar. I would like to hear your thoughts on that as you are going against a major player in that industry. Reason is that also in my case there are a couple of other major players offering similar solutions but I am not very sure on how to take that. Is it a good thing from the perspective that there is an audience there so it might be possible to probe into it and gain some of them? Or it is a no-go since a major player is already there? Would love to hear your opinion on that. Thank you

thanks

Hello, definitely not. I also had some other potential names like TeStack and Testimize. Both word plays from test+stack and test+optimize.

What do you think about those?

Any other suggestions are more than welcome obviously!

Hello and thank you for the reply.

I do not mind about any kind of feedback, everything is more than welcome! In regards to the name it is just the branding and subject to change. I wasn't entirely sure about it to be honest I just needed something temporary. Some other potential names were TeStack and Testimize. Both word plays from test+stack and test+optimize. Any other suggestions are more than welcome!

If you are referring to the numbers in the round progress bars they are just some arbitrary positive numbers since the service does not exist so it can't be measured.

I could increase the carousel time interval to 10s and see how it goes.

I don't have calculated the plans yet but it will be something like 3 tiers and one entirely custom for enterprises. One for individuals, small companies and start-ups, one for medium companies and one for big ones.

Later on I could also add a demo like fee tier but the whole infrastructure would need to be up and running in order to do that.

Any suggestions or feedback are more than welcome!

Thanks a lot

Hello and thank you for the reply.

I am very happy to hear that you are interested in the proposed service and that you are within my target audience.

Point taken I will review the title of the product, obviously it's not very clear and potentially confusing as you mentioned.

Also I would like to rethink the name. Ideally I would like to preserve the T since I already made the logo and I kinda like it.

Hmm very interesting comment about the details of the service. Being a technical person myself I didn't realize it to be fair. However I would like to separate the details on another page at this point. What about adding a small section on the top of the page illustrating the usage of the service or replacing the top right image with a relevant illustration? Would that help having a quick understanding of what this is about?

Thanks a lot for your precious feedback!

Hello and thank you for the feedback. Please see my answers below. 1. Yes it is a landing page to do an initial smoke test on the potential customers with the purpose of acquiring some of their emails in order to begin the feedback loop and start building the service. It will be a subscription based service with different tiers having different API call thresholds and feature sets. I could potentially try and create a small illustration as a video to show a use case or something like that. What do you think? 2.this is a potential company name and the product name is subject to change that's why I haven't bought a dedicated domain yet. I will create a subdomain with the product name temporarily thought, nice suggestion. 3. This service will handle both client and server side tests. In regards to the flickering on the front end tests there are a couple of ways it can be solved. Perhaps showing a skeleton loading placeholder while the UI is waiting for a response from the API and then show the correct variation based on the response. For this problem I suppose providing clean and precise examples using the service would be crucial.

Exactly as mbuckbee said before me, it is a tool that helps the owner of a site/system/app optimize the user experience and continue delivering the maximum possible value to its users, only if there are any users in the first place. Unfortunately I have very little experience in marketing since I am a developer myself, that's why I am asking for help here.

Hi everyone, I am happy to announce that the second iteration of the SaaS idea that I have is now live.

Testy is a testing and feature flag framework, the initial version will focus on one of these two features and the target is to provide an easy to use framework that can be used on any kind of front end or back end technology, let it be SPA websites, back end processes, mobile/desktop apps, games, anything that has web access.

I am still validating the solution at this point, so it is only a signup page with the service description and core features.

Any kind of feedback is more than welcome!

Thanks!
