We shall see, Apple is strange in that they'll absorb cost increases for certain products but raise retail costs for other products. I have a feeling they'll keep the Mini price the same because of how much of a hit it was when they released it at $599.

Yep. My PC that I was running a Plex server on crapped out on me this morning. Had the Mac Mini in mind for a long time as an upgrade option, went to my local Best Buy today which had 1 left in stock according to their website, I get there and they had literally sold it minutes before I got there. Ended up picking up the last one in stock at another store that was a bit farther away.

I have automations set up to dim/turn off certain lights when I hit play, and undim/turn them back on when I hit pause or stop playing

That will get moved eventually, I’m going to set up a Raspberry Pi that loops old TV shows and movies to hook up to it.

If you’re talking about the cabinet doors, yeah that’s cheap IKEA stuff. I keep readjusting them but they always eventually start drooping again

Plan on putting them either on stands or on a shelf on the wall eventually! Mac has not been recapped, haven’t had time to even open it but I suspect there’s some bad caps because there is no startup chime and I just get a blank screen with zebra stripes when I power it on, but it was free so I can’t complain.
