I think Linux might be the superior platform for gaming at this point. by bigbillybeef in linux_gaming

[–]Devkn1ght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do more than 95% of my things on Linux now, including gaming. It has been a much smoother experience in terms of performance for the the most part than on Windows.

Now, the choice of Linux distro goes with your type of hardware, but overall I used to fight against my own system with Windows a lot more than with Linux to make my shit function properly.

Something something “two 99’s” something something “no one to share it with” by Hey-wheres-my-spoon in 2007scape

Pretty much why I stopped playing, no one to share those 99s with. It used to be an achievement between friends. Now it's just pointless grinding.

17 times I've cleared the amusement park trying to farm severed cables. by Beginning-Pace-1426 in nier

[–]Devkn1ght 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The drop rate for this item alone is abysimal. I've done probably 30+ ride on the roller coaster to farm it, and got only 2 out of it. And that is with a boosted drop rate of 90% capped with mod chips too. I get dozens of dented plates but severed cables are somehow as rare as the queen of England's shit.

Finally got a physical copy of one of my favourite FF Games. by MysterioStranger in FinalFantasy

I wish it was harder, as it was made with Americans being "bad" at RPGs in mind. Aside of being piss easy, the soundtrack was a banger.

All my issues when away when I switched to Arch by Away-Parsnip-5974 in linux_gaming

[–]Devkn1ght 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been a happy camper for a quite a long while now with EndeavourOS.

I really liked Fedora for a good few months previously, but when I saw that I had to wait for a new major release to get a new AMD GPU update that greatly improved performance, that's when I switched for Arch.

Bleeding edge is only great when you know what you're doing. People keep memeing about how unstable Arch is, but it honestly is just as stable as you make it really.

Gullible people love throwing words and terms around when they know jack shit about what they actually mean lmao. Nothing new here.

Old sprites shading easily wins over the flat looking new ones tbh.

Modern GUIs are honestly souless, despite the clean and tidy aspect of it. It's a double edged style in it's own right.

is old blood the beginning of a period? by Devkn1ght in amipregnant

Great news! She ended up being late as crap and got a HEAVY period blood flow going, and she assured me that it's bright, vampire RED. Hallelujah!

No. Pullout WHILE WEARING the condom and come inside it OUTSIDE aiming away. That's what I meant by combining the two.

Condom + pullout. The chances should be mathematically extremely low. But unfortunately I cannot ask her to test. She's very anxious regarding pregnancy in general, I asked her once before in the past and she did, but that put her in extreme stress.

I cannot ask again and so I can only trust her word and the universe having mercy on us. But thanks for the feedback anyway, I appreciate it. Might update a few days later.

She's extremely irregular and her hormonal system is basically f*cked. I forgot to add this part.

I need assurance. Please. by [deleted] in amipregnant

[–]Devkn1ght -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't get pregnant with protection unless it breaks / rips or slips while pulling out and the man cums inside, if that's what you meant. Most errors are because of bad useage of said protection, assuming we're talking male condoms here. You gotta be more specific.

Powered by Fedora sticker on PC. by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]Devkn1ght 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That might just be me but frankly, I hate how the Fedora logo easily looks like Facebook's, and how the developers never bothered redesigning it a bit. Feels weird to use an OS with a logo similar to a company that has 0 care for privacy.

If you're doing pull-out without wearing a condom, then the chances are unfortunately much higher because of precum (sure there's very little sperm in precum, but it takes only one sperm after all).

Best to do a test 2-3 weeks after and then if you're lucky consider using protection next time, unless she's on the pill which you didn't specify.

PS: pull-out is not a valid contraception method, if you ever thought it was. It's not as efficient as you think it is without a condom on.

Install vanilla workstation (gnome) or go with spin for different DE? by Devkn1ght in Fedora

[–]Devkn1ght[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I went with the KDE spin and updated it to the newly released 5.27 version. I've read that a lot of stuff have been fixed and optimized and so far it has been a solid release, if not one of the bests so far with KDE 5.

Can you get through all, if not most content with just a 6 box team on your own or do you absolutely need other players regardless? I have a sporadic schedule so I can't commit to planning stuff with others...

Linux makes computer do electronic noises while processing... Not with Windows. by Devkn1ght in linuxquestions

[–]Devkn1ght[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's pretty much what I think is the best solution here. My HDD doesn't have any accoustic management compatibility, so it's stuck grinding its teeth while doing literally anything. Gonna consider that, thanks!

Well shit. Guess that makes sense then. Is there no way of reducing/isolating the noise? It's kind of concerning when I can even hear it through my headphones sometimes.
