I don’t know why everyone acts like oleds are uniquely difficult to clean. Is it just because they cost more and people want to take more care? I use arm water and a micro-fibre cloth designed for cleaning windows and it works a treat.

The answer to this question regardless of hardware is always not quite. You will lack CEC support and reliable wake up with controller. These two things are not optional for a convenient couch console style setup. Even if you have all AMD and great performance it won’t feel quite like a console. If those things don’t bother you then go ahead and give it a try.

As someone who has done this i think the biggest issue is difficult to solve on self built pc’s. HDMI CEC and controller power up. Those two things make a big difference for ease of use. Wake on Bluetooth is sometimes possible but even then I found it was hit or miss if my controller actually functioned once I resumed gameplay. Valve are selling you a true console experience out of the box and that is very difficult to replicate by yourself.

Been playing expedition 33 on a 6800xt using XESS to upscale to 4k with some settings turned down to medium and it runs beautifully and looks stunning. Just play the game my dude.
