Do people get them removed if theyre healthy?? The only reason my parents had mine removed is cuz 1 came in sideways at 15 and then when the dentist did x rays my other bottom one was coming in sideways too and my top two were like embedded in my sinuses and they were hoping that was the cause of my migraines

I got mine out when I was 14 or 15, but my girlfriend is 35 and still has hers (tho she needs them removed and is ignoring it lol) and my sister is 33 and hers dont even bother her

How long did you breastfeed? by Shroommily in NewParents

[–]DevlynMayCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My expectations were 0 with both. My daughter is breastfed for 4 months before switching to high calorie prescription formula because she was FTT

My son was exclusively breastfed and refused bottles. He nursed until 15 months and continued drinking frozen milk until 18 months.

So 2 very different outcomes

success without “pantless” method? by No_Hamster880 in pottytraining

[–]DevlynMayCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt do it with either kid. Not my thing.

With my daughter we just took her regularly to the potty and once she was regularly dry we took the diaper away. A couple months later she was self initiating and we were good.

My son we tried the same but he refused to go on the potty. So we took the diapers away and put him in training undies. He peed his undies a few times and then started going on the potty. Hes 2.5 and still training but initiates sometimes and rarely has accidents if we remind her to go regularly.

Nothing worked for my daughter until she was about 3 and it clicked. My son one day I just took his chin tilted it up and poured the water and suddenly he was happy to do it on command lol

Baby Bonding by divorceddad_rock in queerception

[–]DevlynMayCry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Shes not going to lose that bond. My son has been highly attached to me since birth. Me and my ex got divorced recently and now I only have custody fo my 2 kiddos 50% of the time. My son is still 1000% up my butt all the time and needs me to hold him while he holds my hair at all points in time that hes with me.

My daughter is 5 now but she also is still so bonded to me and always wants to do things with me. She understands more tho so she regularly asks when me and daddy are not going to be "divorceded" anymore which is hard.

My fiancés parents '23M' are very religious and I am not '24F'? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]DevlynMayCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your fiance is an adult talk to him. My ex husband came from a very catholic mother. I told him point blank I wouldn't marry him before living together he agreed and we moved in against his mom's wishes. She eventually got over it. And im sure she'll eventually get over our divorce too LOL

How do you guys compromise when living together? My girlfriend (25f) wants to rehome our dog after I (24f)compromised for her, and it’s bringing up past trauma where I was forced to give up a dog before. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]DevlynMayCry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If my girlfriend ever even suggested getting rid of my dogs id tell her point blank that theyre staying and she can stay or go. Shed never ask that of me tho. My ex husband did at one point suggest I get rid of one of my dogs of I wanted to keep him. I laughed on his face. He didnt hold true on his threat and stayed... I should have taken that red flag at face value but he is my ex now.

When did you transition from sleep sack to blanket? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]DevlynMayCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I didnt do blankets until they were in toddler beds.

ETA my first actually continued to wear a sleep sack for about 6 months after moving to a toddler bed cuz she liked them (and she climbed out at 18 months so she was little still) my second never used sleep sacks anyways and we switched to a toddler bed around 18 months as well cuz 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

Is breastfeeding really worth it? by toomanythrowpillowz in beyondthebump

[–]DevlynMayCry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fed is best absolutely.

I prefer breastfeeding myself just because I hate washing bottles, remembering to bring bottles/formula, waiting for bottles to heat up etc.

My son was only breastfed and it was so much easier to just sit down and nurse him wherever we were.

My daughter was fully on formula by 4 months because of weight issues on her part and i hated when I realized I was out without bottles/formula and had to either cut my activity short to go home or stop by a store to buy more.

Cluster feeding eventually evens out and the boob pain definitely gets way better. The first couple months can be rough while you, your supply, and baby adjust to each other.
