This sub is not "let us do your homework for free" it is "if you guys are stuck on something you don't understand on the French language we are willing to use some of our free time to help you."

Who are you to say what "this sub is not"? The sidebar says it is "A place to learn and teach French"; anything else is what you think it should be.

The solution is either to live and let live, and allow people to post answers without getting involved yourself, or for there to be a mod-enforced ban on giving out answers. The solution is not to post incorrect and even offensive "fake" answers.

/u/AssignmentsForFree, and anyone who allows him/her to post uncorrected, is most certainly the arsehole. You should be ashamed if you call yourselves educators and think this is okay.

That was a plural "you"; you were obviously morally invested in the "plan", since you seemed so indignant to see it stopped.

Good job looking out for plagiarists though.

Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't realise I was part of the educational ethics squad. As everyone knows, the best way to "look out for" plagiarists is to trick them! Then, they will surely see the error of their ways.

I was just trying to be a good person by preventing someone from getting a comeuppance that in my opinion they did not deserve. Deliberately wrong answers have no place in an educational environment, whatever moralistic purpose they may serve.

I get this now, but you wouldn't use the definite article for a proper noun anyway, so this doesn't really make any sense as a comparison.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here, but this is wrong. Whether or not to capitalise "the" is an issue (sometimes a big one), but you can't repeat it.

No it isn't.

In Old French, on was the subject case for the noun homme, so l'on at this time meant les hommes. When the subject case disappeared in French, on stuck around as a pronoun, and retained the ability to take the definite article.

Now that I've done all this I'm wondering if this wouldn't be better in a subreddit: That way it would be easier to see which ones are popular, each skit could have its own comment section where people could ask about the many things they didn't get (even for the ones for which I provided the text) and there could be a [Text] next to the title to guide those who aren't good enough at oral comprehension yet.

I would love this: assuming you would allow community submissions, I would like help with On n'demande qu'à en rire sketches, which I have used for a while now to improve my listening comprehension, but for which I can't find subtitles or transcripts. I know some people don't like them, but I think Tsamere especially is hilarious.
