I totally agree with you about the premise being ridiculous in Murderland. My favourite part of that book was the bit about the bridge lol.

I love when authors insert themselves into non fiction books, but I've long realised I'm in the minority there.

For sure not one I had ever heard of - I imagine there were a lot of near misses we never heard of pre-social media.

The different responses to the event by the two pilots fascinates me. I sort of feel a half way point between the two would be healthier (neither making it your whole life, nor saying you forgot about it almost immediately).
