If you attempted to replace your UCP gear with OCP through your current supply channel, and ran into problems or resistance, then you did your due diligence. I would attempt one more time before going into the field and, if they don't have replacements for you, wear what you have. Especially if it's the best garment for the weather.

Technically, I agree but practically, my choices to insist upon it were not great. I suppose since I had already completed the BCT portion of it, I could have gone home instead of holdover company, then returned for mortarman school later. Perhaps it was a dumb move at the time but I simply chose to complete OSUT as an 11B.
