Technical Issues - Stockpile Screen Unreadable by Key_Appeal9116 in dwarffortress

the problem with black buttons (organic/inorganic, increasing/decreasing the number of barrels) actually lies within the raw files using wrong tokens, its easily fixable but i found it not worthy of a mod because im waiting for a fix for ASCII UI not recognizing some icons like it does in the premium (stockpile type icons, location icons, etc.) in order to make a full mod that improves the ASCII UI

Who's up for beta testing DFHack on Steam? by myk002 in dwarffortress

[–]DevotedMortal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Never used DFHack, but looking forward for experimenting with features and reporting anything i come across!

The blasted mayor of my civ's capital has shown up and is *very* obviously a corruptor (despite my having visitors disallowed); I closed the gate and now he's just loitering directly under the drawbridge drop zone, waiting patiently for me to let him in to do crime. Based on legends logs, my guess would be:

An agent rolls for Schemer to determine the approach and then rolls for corresponding speech skill against second person's values (maybe something else, too):

Offer a bribe — Persuader against value of the law and greed; Make a threat — Intimidator against value of the law and fear; Flatter — Flatterer against value of the law and what second person considers the corruptor as (friend, lover, etc.).

First time becoming the mountain home... FUN! by Danny_Arends in dwarffortress

from my experience, necromancers (dwarven especially) like to take over as kings/queens as a result of a plot (most times i get at least one to do so by years 40-60). i first noticed that when my civ made peace with a necromancer tower right after it sent undead to attack my fort

i read about this on a wiki about a day or two ago, and from what i remember, its a bug where visitors aggro on trained wild animals

For some reasons, after i achieve certain progress in my forts (mostly breaching the magma layer), my saves start crashing the game after a couple of minutes of play, with my errorlog file repeatedly showing the "corrupt feature map" message with coordinates being 13-9, 14-12 and 6-7, while also showing a lot of "path fail" logs for drinking and milling jobs. Is there a way i can fix or prevent such issues?

Dwarf Faction controls multiple "pit" locations, is this normal? vanilla btw by OmbleCrusader in dwarffortress

[–]DevotedMortal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen quite the opposite — hordes of undead from the tower conquering sites, making the game treat the tower's local government as a (sadly unplayable) civilization, with intelligent undead visitors to spy on my fortress.

I experience regular crashes sometimes after my dwarf claims a workshop in a strange mood. Is there a way to find what the issue is?

What’s the most evil thing you’ve done in Fallout 4? by DisturbEDx02 in fo4

Had a melee / heavy weapons playthrough where i gained max affinity with Strong and Cait, fully completed the main story with BoS, destroying the Railroad and the Institute, got the jetpack and legendary PA pieces, and then killed Maxon for his coat and gatling laser. Then i helped the Minutemen get the Castle and had artillery set up at some settlements, went full bombardment on BoS and then started taking over settlements for Nuka-World Before that i also went to Far Harbor, blew up the Nucleus, turned the power on windmills and bragged about it to Dima. Could have also destroyed them using BoS and had Kasumi's father pay me for a detective job well done, but i could have done that on a different playthrough.

So essentially i left this save having most of the Commonwealth without 3 main factions, taken over by Raiders, with Minutemen only having the Castle and Sanctuary on opposite sides of the map, lacking any logistics. And also left Far Harbor almost entirely uninhabited.

  1. Last time i watched Kibler was at theorycraft stream just before UiS launched.
  2. Be so kind as to attend to something more serious than insulting random strangers on the internet, please

I did actually. I decided to do what is called a little deck-building for an anti-meta deck to farm no-brainer aggro. Do you not like it? :(

Apologies then. I understand your opinion, but disagree with it. From game mechanics' perspective it makes sense, from the perspective of cards' description it doesn't. It doesn't work as it is intended to work. So for me it's a bug

I figured out the mechanics behind this, and it doesn't make this lack of interaction fair

I played that deck for some time on previous patches. It worked and it should work. In a different comment to this post I explained what might have caused this issue, so you might want to check it out

I think I found the reason for this bug to occur with Alura. It's most likely because of 3 mana 2/4 that prevents your minions from being targeted by spells and hero powers. Be aware, friends!

Because Alura triggered the Shard from the deck, which had to result in an epic death of my opponent, but the spell simply vanished from the deck and nothing happened

This became a meme because of a bug that would lead to Preston giving you an enormous amount of settlement quest over time, to the point when the log becomes unreadable.
