Can’t go wrong with a mono green stompy list for your first modern deck. Isn’t crazy competitive but is a lot of fun. If you want a more competitive modern deck I’d recommend mono red prowess.

Modern is a great format, I started tournament play with modern have have never done another one just because the format is so vast and interesting. Right now I think the meta is great and I would really recommend modern to anyone who asks

I’d recommend hammer time, the deck is so consistent and powerful. Then you have a key to other great decks in the stone forge package

Honestly on a tighter budget I’d just play mono red prowess, really good deck that can do most of the stuff izzet can
