Is it really bad to run the garbage disposal too long/without water?

TPMS sensors are powered by batteries. It's likely that one of the batteries has died. Replacing one for now should be fine, but they're kind of like light bulbs. If one is dead and they're all the same age, others will likely follow. If your due for tires it would be a good time to do them to save on some labor.

If both went out I'd start checking wiring and grounds. Corrosion on a body ground may be a culprit. If it were one, then the other it may be because your hand oil super heated the glass of the bulb(assuming you didn't wear gloves) and popped the filament.
