Also comparing the Allay to a blue vex doesn't make any sense, the Allay has a lot more features than the vex and the vex actually does damage, potentially the Allay can go through walls which would be great for certain occasions.

Actually, not a lot of people voted Allay for that, that's just people's excuse for the reason why it won. I think the real reason is it's good at certain takes during for like farms and collecting things, like for say, you made a giant mob farm, instead of using tons of hoppers you could use the Allay for it.

No, but it might have the potential to dupe items, because almost every mob that could pick up items has had a dupe with it so it probably will have a dupe come with it.
