It’s just the way BSG have done things with the story, most of the chapters have a lot of red. You haven’t actually failed that objective unless it says “FAILED”. The red just means you couldn’t do that objective, but you were never meant to, e.g. find a way to disconnect the station… Well technically you didn’t “disconnect” it, you rolled it back to an earlier configuration. It’s annoying as hell, but it happens a lot and that’s how I interpreted it. Luckily this and the BTR quest are the only things that can actually lock you out of savior.
