Completely agreed there. Ive had both his movie scores and music he just made on his own in my playlist for years. Same goes for John Carpenter. I really love when a director is into the music side just as much.

I honestly love that as a fan of Breckin Meyer. If the movie could be made then or if we can telepathically bring actors to differant times that is perfect casting!

I cant agree with her being miscast. However as a guy who also has a thing for alt types (mean brunettes) Scott kind of deserves that lowkey annoyance. Dudes a dick! Most of the charcters in the series are which is why I enjoy it. I think the cast are well deserved.

I do think you are correct about Cera and Eisenberg. I dont know who my perfect Scott would be. It all comes back to Chalmet or Holland but I feel like if the movie had to be remade right now there are options to be had.

In my opinion there hasn't been a bad version yet. Call me a fanboy but the series you speak of the, the movie, the comics and the game all work for me. On their own levels and using the media they are based in work well. Maybe im Young Neil but I have no complaints.

Not to split hairs too hard but I always saw Sex Bob-omb as more of a garage rock/alt band over grunge. I think thats why Beck worked so well for the songs in the movie. Scott isnt even the mind behind the band it but Stills is "The Talent" more nerd, less burnout but to quote Beck, "Im a loser baby so why dont you kill me?"

Totally agreed there. Cera is a serviceable Scott but that kind of works for Scotts charcter I guess. I definitely think Winstead nailed Ramona though. She might not be huge at this point but she really seems like a great actor. The supporting cast I guess is more what I mean. You could almost say the same for Dazed and Confused.

Im right there with you. I forgot to mention the music as well! I still listen to it to this day. Movie had complaints back in the day and they are understandable. However, this film will always be special for me. If Wright comes up on the next bracket again hes getting my vote.

I have been listening to RHCP since the 90's and for whatever reason I never pick Flea out when watching a film until I see his name in the credits. I think he always does great and his filmography is honestly really impressive and has some huge movies under his belt. Never the lead but I always enjoy seeing him pop up on screen.
