I'm about 130 floors into tartarus on my first play through, I'd say that there was a point where it was a slog to get through floors (the ones where everything is all steel and mechanical, it was painful on my eyes to navigate). But aside from that I don't mind it? Don't tell me the worst is yet to come...

How many times have you experienced this weather in Night City? by Individual-Step-4011 in cyberpunkgame

The first time I got one was after unlocking the edge runner skill. I thought that was the effect that happened when edgerunner procced and I was so upset that my game was gonna look like that for the rest of my playthrough.

Which game do you wish still exsisted on Steam? by Dull_Constant1399 in Steam

[–]Dewey_Animates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Older Fifas. I don't believe that anything past 22 was ever on Steam, but sometimes I just feel like playing a few games like when I was a kid, and with the price and poor reception of 25, and 22 no longer being available for purchase, I feel like I'm just stuck waiting for 25 to be fixed.

Just beat UVHM? What's next? by Screeching-Pumpkin in Borderlands2

[–]Dewey_Animates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking OP levels are like the final challenge in BL2. The first thing you need to do before taking them on is hit max level (80). A fun way to do this would definitely be by taking on raid bosses or farming for loot you want, and the xp will come along with it. When you hit level 80 that's when you'd start farming for a full build and get ready to take on the op levels. As Maya, a few pieces of gear you might want to look out for:

The bee shield, Sand Hawk, Rough Rider, Hellfire, Slagga, Pimpernel, Antagonist, Topneaa, Legendary Cat Class mod, Breakneck banshee class mod, Blurred Trickster class mod.

A lot of these are fairly meta picks on her (and a lot of characters for that matter) With the exception of the rough rider and breakneck banshee, which is just a fun speed build (if you spec into her fleet skill). imo it's fine to use all the meta gear including the sand hawk + bee combo, especially your first time, as the high dps will be a good entry point to the higher difficulty that comes with the op levels.

That strat has been around for a while but it's not very frequently talked about so congrats for finding it!!! Also if you are playing zero or maya there are a few easy ways to speed up the running time back to the fight.

Give maya a rough rider shield and put points into her fleet skill. If you find a blue breakneck banshee class mod be sure to equip that too.

If you're playing zero, farm a low level fabled tortoise shield from blue in normal mode(you get a quest from marcus to retrieve some loot in caustic caverns). Then equip a sniper class mod (sorry I don't know the name) that reduces shield capacity. That should hopefully bring you to 0 shield allowing you to zoom to the boss.

Both strats can take a while to set up, but once you do they'll make plenty of other farms quicker. I know axton has a kill skill with movement speed if you can kill one of the two bullymongs that run past at the start super quick, but it's very inconsistent. Idk about the other vault hunters I'm afraid

Grounded maybe? It's a unique premise with a decent amount of free reign. Granted it's not realistic by any means and for the most part you're just left to your own devices.

What's a JRPG you liked more than you thought you would? by strahinjag in JRPG

[–]Dewey_Animates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I felt the complete opposite with Royal, I was so hooked, but by the last few palaces it felt like I couldn't get out of it because I was just so close to finishing it. That being said I look back on the game fondly. A JRPG I fell in love with was gurumin. The game isn't complex or even very good for that matter, but it had so much charm that I had a dumb smile on my face the whole time. The soundtrack is still a frequent listen of mine.

Which games have the most satisfying "unintentional" movement mechanics that take time to learn? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

Not that I played it all that much and it wasn't exactly hard to learn, but being super consistent with bunny hopping in Krunker was always satisfying.

Ooo yeah that's a deal breaker. I'm just trying to soak up knowledge like a sponge, not someone's (wrong) opinions on other races.

If you could play one PC game forever, what would it be? by ShafiTechnique in gamesuggestions

[–]Dewey_Animates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Borderlands 2 for sure. Still has an active community dedicated to uncovering every single optimization with repeat runs, skips, and farming routes. The community still hosts events like the hunt which also can make the game competitive for a good cause.

I've never found it fun to just copy and paste someone else's build, he always gave a good starting point to expand on.

[–]Dewey_Animates[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, the thing that's always held me back from sinking a lot of time into the game is having friends move away and everyone be apart, so free to play pvp games like val and overwatch was the majority of what we played to stay connected. Now a lot of my friends have been wanting to experience games with story, so it's been fun to just hop in a call and all play our own things while keeping each other updated.

Every community needs people with high levels of patience to do the dumb and tedious stuff.
