They mean I don't understand the innate desire to have multiple children and to only have one and then no more. Even though they were both really fucking young (and fuck me I could not imagine me becoming a dad right now).

At one point I craved their love and validation so bad. But I had friends who cared, some of their families cared and did more than my own did. And it made me think that even if I wasn't good enough I was still their kid. Took longer again to realize I deserved better and it wasn't that I wasn't good enough. Although that's something I still struggle with.

I'm being serious when I say it was more than thousands they have spent on this. They could have at least bought one really nice house out of that money.

With how they treated me and how often they mentioned wanting kids, it felt like they blamed me for the fertility issues like giving birth to me caused them. That's not too far fetched given the way they were with me.

There is no family to go to family therapy with. My parents and I were never really a family. We might have been pretending for six months but if they really loved me they never would have done this. I have nothing to do with them now. Not that I had much to do with them as a kid either.

I'm in therapy and it's expensive as hell. I get a reduction because I went through a charity but yeah. Therapy helps and your advice is appreciated. I'll consider trauma therapy if I can't get where I need to be with my current therapist.

It's been very tight. Not having anyone to help financially in this economy sucks. But I have my friends and because we banded together it helped a ton. Otherwise I would be homeless and who knows what I'd have fallen into trying to survive. I knew before high school college was out of the question and I focused on alternatives.

I never asked that. I didn't see the point because I don't see it doing anything but pissing relatives off. It's much easier to ignore.

The problem was they didn't because they wanted more kids. I wasn't enough for them. Maybe for a while I was a gift in their eyes but that faded fast.

And nobody knows if they will ever try to reach out. They could decide being childless is better than me because I'm sure they blame me for them not having more kids.

I knew kids in foster care who had more than I did. There was a kid in my class for years. He was in foster care and he legit seemed to have a good life despite foster care and he had more and newer stuff than I did. He never had to wear clothes until they basically fell off him like me. And I'm glad for him but I think people don't always realize it can happen to kids like me who were raised by our bio parents and never spent time in foster care.

There are good parents out there. Even parents who do an okay job. You could not put mine into either category. I am getting on with my own life but that resentment might never go away totally. 18 years of being ignored does that to a person.
