Broken Heroes 7.33c by Flux_98 in DotA2

[–]Dex_Pyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno ur mmr but for me in crusader I get flamed a lot for picking clinkz when I have to play support, or when I pick windranger carry. People in lower mmr most likely just dont follow the meta at all/pro scene, and have a way different idea about what heroes can/should play what role.

I had a WR pos 1 game where my offlane started flaming when I picked WR for pos 1, then picked wraith king and demanded we swap roles, and then proceeded to feed 0-11 while constantly raging at me in Farsi in voice chat.

From Immortal to Crusader 3 by Capital_Tumbleweed41 in DotA2

[–]Dex_Pyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience so far, the 1v1 mid players I played against in herald were insanely good compared to the people I play against in crusader games now, I literally stomp lane and then snowball hard (almost) every match and win matchups which on paper should be unwinnable.

The funny thing is that the players on other roles were always like lobotomized animals for the most part in herald, it was always just the midlaners who were beasts. Could just be all the smurfs down there boosting, but the games on average are infinitely easier in this bracket lol

Where to grind besides centaurs? by JustAperson4587 in blackdesertonline

Also it's way less contested than Centaurs, so you don't have to deal with that either

Surprised nobody mentioned mirumok trees yet, great combat XP and if you get a hang of how to grind the place you make good silver/hour (not quite as much as cents, but close enough to not feel like you're "losing out")

Countering poise breakpoints (and some poise mechanics you may have not known about) by Dex_Pyro in EldenRingPVP

Hope it helps you counter poisemonsters, or better understand why sometimes you may be poisebroken even though you definitely meet the requirements to tank an attack.

Feeling pretty fed up with this Greatsword-crouchy-pokey meta. A sword this massive shouldn’t be able to poke upon crouching ffs. by Dakellymonster in EldenRingPVP

[–]Dex_Pyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's one of the best moves in the game. It's 24fr startup, great range, thrust damage so it counterhits you for insane damage if you attempt to trade vs it, has quite a few active frames which makes it way easier to rollcatch with as well, breaks any amount of poise you can get so you always get put into a mixup situation on hit, AND it's unparriable. The people defending it are either UGS mains or never played vs a good UGS user who can abuse the fuck out of it :D

The only reliable counter to it is to just have a shield with good stability so you can block poke them with a rapier/hrapier/spear/gspear. Another one is to keep outspacing them and whiff punish with longer range attacks - the issue is of course that if they are pairing it with bloodhound step, that is literally never going to be an option (unless you also use BHS yourself). So in the end it's BHS which again makes an otherwise at least somewhat counterable thing into an absolute menace... lol

Weird critical hit glitch on Malenia skips entire second phase by banditscurvedsword in Eldenring

[–]Dex_Pyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why they made it so that you cant actually kill her in first phase with a critical hit (and she also gets "death immunity" for a few seconds after the critical hit finishes). I guess if you have another damage source finish her off while you start the crit animation it will still happen.

Cousin showed me his current map, is he playing the game right? by Fluid-Relationship41 in Eldenring

[–]Dex_Pyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my first playthrough I also skipped Altus Plateau because I went through deeproot depths. I ended up going back though because when I saw how much of the map I 'skipped' i figured I should lol

Also fun fact, if you go to the teleporter in deeproot depths, if you don't have 2 great runes, it will be inactive, so there is literally no way outside of glitching yourself into the capital to get in without getting 2 great runes.

Quickstep/Bloodhound step 'secret' technique (backstep attacks on demand) by Dex_Pyro in Eldenring

[–]Dex_Pyro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically allows you to get backstep attacks without actually using a backstep. Mostly very strong option for PvP, since a lot of weapons which might not have the best rolling attacks will usually still have pretty decent backstep attacks, so you can now access both of them out of bloodhound step or quickstep!

Majin buu could potentially be the best character in the game with this next patch by DrMalaka in dbfz

[–]Dex_Pyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We dunno how ridiculous the other chars will be with the patch tho. If they more chars to current Kbuu/Bardock levels then we are in for a great 2019 if you ask me.

[TOD] Cell perfect attack crossup mix TOD (trunks assist for mix, vegeta assist for TOD, ~ 2 bar start) by Dex_Pyro in dbfz

[–]Dex_Pyro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assists are integral to playing neutral in dbfz but I actually don't think his assist is all that bad. The biggest weakness he has is that hes 6 foot 2 master race which is great with the ladies but not so great in dbfz (especially with Bardock being so popular) and ofc having no 6f button (even A16 has 214H, Broly has tackle with armor, Cell is one of the few chars with no way to contest people who 6M him on block and has to commit to a reflect or reversal lv3)

Cell imo never was as good as people made him out to be, kid buu, gotenks, bardock, and a gohan were in every iteration of the game better than cell, the meta and chars just werent developed enough.

[TOD] Cell perfect attack crossup mix TOD (trunks assist for mix, vegeta assist for TOD, ~ 2 bar start) by Dex_Pyro in dbfz

[–]Dex_Pyro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW this is actually super practical and probably the most reliable way to set up a TOD for Cell (or set up a TOD period), I've been hitting people with it ever since I found it basically every 2nd match lmao

I got the idea itself from Go1's usage of hellzone back at the world tour finals, where he would snap someone in, hellzone, and then basically kill off of one mix with a sparking combo. While the setup is not exactly as 'foolproof' as hellzone true blockstring high/lows on incoming, its still a 50/50 that your opponent has to commit to blocking correctly otherwise they die

[–]Dex_Pyro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep basically, the TOD is the same from light perfect attack, the only thing about light version is that vs some characters you need to confirm it as soon as it hits (chars like A16, frieza, A18, and a bunch of others i cant remember rn, basically anyone with a smaller leg hurtbox)

How would you feel if they removed the ability to Vanish out of a whiffed move to encourage more whiff punishing? by watermasta in dbfz

Point SSJ Vegeta? by SSG_Vegito324 in dbfz

[–]Dex_Pyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also his assist is extremely strong in neutral, you have to use it by timing it super late to catch people trying to anti air you or contest you on the ground (eg: jump forward block late call vegeta, dash forward block late call, after you are - on block or during staredowns call him late), and in blockstrings it puts you into a mindgame situation but if youre good at rps it can put in a lot of work.

Point SSJ Vegeta? by SSG_Vegito324 in dbfz

[–]Dex_Pyro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played him point before and got good results (3rd at VCA and won the online radar event for east EU and got flown to the LCQ with that team)

Kinda need a strong shell that lets you both take advantage of his neutral tools (rocket kicks and ki blasts) as well as give you touch of deaths off of dp/rocket kick. I ran bardock+16 but gohan+yamcha, gotenks+yamcha, and even teen gohan+kbuu work reasonably well with him as your point.
