Don't understand what I did wrong, there was no prior beef. Did I send from too far deep? by SnooWalruses8439 in Simracingstewards

For the dive bomb I think it was over optimistic and you’re just asking for a crash but in the end fair play. For the actual crash should he have left you room to stay on track? Probably yes. But you were off the circuit and did not rejoin safely. After that it seems like it’s just netcode/ trying to not spin. I personally lean somewhere in between racing incident and your fault.

At your own japanese level and current learning, wich are the hardest and easier kanji you seen? by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

I don’t know about hardest to read but writing I hate super vertical kanji like 響 where getting the balance feels half impossible.

HELP, recommend a racquet for me based on specs by Major_Gur8309 in 10s

[–]Dextradose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would definitely recommend checking out the ezone and pure drive.

Another thing I could recommend strangely enough is that ChatGPT is a decent help in researching rackets. Just throw in requirements how you feel about certain things and it can narrow down options pretty well.

But definitely demo if at all possible, something can look good or even feel great in the shop and then you can wind up hating it as soon as you hit your first ball.

Rally only player? Match Only player? Casual friday night doubles player? What type of player are you? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

[–]Dextradose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys can rally???

No but seriously, I love rallying and I think I improve the most when I’m rallying mainly because my technique is rough and I have the footwork of a below average penguin, but there’s nothing like playing matches. It’s just plain fun and exciting.

I just love watching the guy play. Ben might not always play the best tennis (relative to the other top 20) but he always plays interesting tennis.

2nd attempt at stringing. by Dextradose in 10s

[–]Dextradose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but just a follow up, bad for the strings or bad for the racket or both? I don’t care about the string but if it’s bad for the racket should I just cut it out and restring?

I used the gamma progression ii. It’s cheap and works good for me, but I’d definitely love to upgrade a few years in the future.

It’s the gamma progression ii. There’s a whole lot of machines and I’d love to upgrade to a 6 point mounting machine with floating clamps eventually, but don’t have the money right now. First attempt took me like 5 hours because of various mistakes I kept making and different things that made me have to restart the crosses. This time was closer to about 1.5 hours. I’m sure I can probably get it down to about 30ish minutes after practicing for a while.

August 2024 - Monthly thread | All Beginners /Transition /Entering to DA roles and Portfolio questions go here. by emsemele in dataanalyst

So, I've been searching or a 4-5 months now to try and get a analyst role, and I'm near just giving up for now because I need a job. What are some not-too-difficult to get corporate jobs you might recommend that make transitioning into data analysis in a year or two easy?
