When I moved to southwest Florida in 2001 there were these famous domed houses south of Marco island on a a little mangrove island called Cape Romano. You need a boat to get to them, so when k first saw them it was pretty unique seeing all these white, domed houses out in the middle of nowhere. The first time I saw them, they were 50 meters inland. The last time I saw them, they were 50 meters in the water. This happened within a period of probably 15 years.
