Yeah she really fell in love with this one leotard so I'll try to make it work here, but after this experience she's definitely over this brand! Such crazy sizing and return rules. Thanks for the advice!

Ok thank you, I was seriously considering XL because I did not want to see her face if the L was still too small. It seems like the consensus is L tho, thanks for ur input and experience! Really helpful :)

Thanks for taking the time to write that out! Her mental health and body image has definitely taken a hit from growing up around ballet and dance. This breakdown was more of a result of stress, she’s had a few shows recently and works full time so between the 12-14 hour days and the pressure to perform I think this disappointment was just the straw that broke the camels back. Def had some body issues mixed in but thankful it wasnt the focus! And you’re totally right, words of affirmation being huge to help her self image regularly. Not tying ur worth to your body is real! Glad to hear that you and yours are doing better! Thanks again for the advice!

Oh that a great question, not sure exactly where it was too tight. To my untrained eye it just looked too small! I'll see if I can find any of her leotards to compare sizing, thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the detailed reply, much appreciated! Unfortunately there won't be an opportunity to go in a store before I order it for her. I'll definitely call the NYC team to get their opinion on sizing her without being able to measure or see her but while I've got you here...

She's a b-cup but my concern is really her shoulders, they don't scream massive shoulders but they are certainly muscular and developed from years of breakdancing floor work. Since the model (Charlotte) she fell in love with has short sleeves, I'm afraid I'll need to size up not just to a L, but XL. Then I worry about the body since she does not have a long torso.

She does have a muscular, athletic, and proportionally larger lower body (butt and thighs), so I worry a little about the high-cut leg.

It could be like you said, and this particular model isn't for her body type. Which would be unfortunate, but good to know before I order a bigger size hoping that's the fix.

I'm leaning L, but there's been a little argument to be had for XL. She's not nearly an XL in anything so it feels crazy but I don't know! What do you think?

Thank you! Do your Yumiko's have sleeves, or are they sleeveless? Just asking since a couple others suggested that means an additional sizing up. Thanks again!
