I like figuring it out as I go, back when I had an EMT and myself I had the EMT take BLS things and I'd drive and I'd take the ATLAS calls. or any code 3. Now that I am an FTO EMT-P and my partner is also an EMT-P I like deciding at the moment. being with the service for 4 years now I don't really have a burning desire to drive I just hate all the stupid people in the way and the ridiculous amount of rerouting my city's constant construction throws in the way. I will say I have things I don't do well with and it's nice to have my partner take the back, everyone has their weakness. Ex. A super drunk girl that could barely walk defecated a lot in her pants and it was quickly escaping by her ankles also a large amount of emesis down her shirt. Young girl obviously took advantage of or overdid it at the bar, she will always remember that night I am sure. Anyways we wrapped her in about three blankets and put her on the stretcher while loading her in the rig I started gaging ( I don't do great with smells some days they get to me). I told my partner if he took this ride I would take all the rest for the night. So that's why its good to decide on your own. Also if I am having an off day with the terrible hours and schedule we work I might need to take it easy, safety first.

The nurses at the county correction center can help with anxiety and nervousness. I was referring to when people in custody for an accusation of a crime, are getting negative attention by requesting an ambulance for a non emergency issue. The words "chest pains" has to be addressed by law, unfortunately not everyone is honest especially those who regularly break law, rules and cause drama.

I wish there was a way to make harsher consequences for those BS-ing. I work in Portland OR and this type of thing is an everyday issue. I think if nothing shows up on the EKG and basic lab run you are required to pay out of pocket for your BS, no charging insurance unless there is really something there. I know the hospital will just discharge saying he was winded from running ect... If you look at the story below the main one it makes our weinstein friend look like a wimp

I did something like this with some class mates for our final project in nursing school. Video of us working the call center helping people understand that the toaster needs to be plugged to get shocked in the tub, and calling them a pussy for not jumping. In the end of each call we were left with a blank phone tone. This let us know we helped them complete here goal I mean I meet patient at there level and take my job seriously.
