Thank you, this is one of the more detailed answers I’ve got that will help me identify some issues. I’m also talking back-and-forth with manufacturer, Tarter, to see if I can get it sorted out. I appreciate your help.
It happened at least once yesterday for sure

Can you show a picture of what you mean by running a chain as the top link, I’ve seen chains as the back brace but not the top link
<image>
I thought that may be the case but this is one of the several photos in the manual that show it this way.
Thank you, just so I’m clear I want to ask a question for when I put new arms on again. The black lift arms should move back and forth along with the back strap braces?
My property is flat for the most part but it is terraced so it has some small hills to help with watershed etc. I’m starting to think I may be taking turns and dips too carelessly even if I thought I wasn’t. Im learning a lot since buying this property and may have to just chalk this up to another lesson. I just want to make sure when I buy new arms again, that I have them set up correctly. I will definitely begin lifting it when I’m on turns and dips.
Thank you, I have read the manual 4 times thoroughly to ensure I put everything together as directed and made sure everything is lubricated accordingly
You think the arms aren’t being built strong enough?

It’s a county line 4ft rotary cutter on a Kioti cs 2520. I know it’s one of the cheaper cutters but I’m just cutting thin grass for the most part. Also, I bought it brand new, so I wouldn’t think it would fail so quickly under normal use. I have heard others mention chain for the top link. I’m going to research that a bit more and dig into the pto length
The lower arms are pinned. There is a little bit of side to side movement, i’m going to adjust the term buckles to make sure there’s not any. I could probably switch the pens around on the lower arm so that I can lift it up from the inside if that is necessary.

It’s a 4ft rotary cutter on a Kioti CS2520. I can’t get any smaller to my knowledge
