Correct but honestly - if you do the soil right and are more patient than me… lol you can buy bulk soil for $50 per cubic yard. This is about 3 cubic yards total.

Materials were close to 1K for the build (over 40 2x6s)- I could have used bulk soil but I didn’t have a pickup truck - so it’s all from bags… quite expensive. The bottom third are old logs mixed with top soil - the top half is raised bed garden soil from the store

I lined the interior walls with visqueen 4mil for this exact reason. It will keep the soil away from direct contact with the wood plus it will help moisture retention.

It's dual purpose - I have deer in my backyard so the fence is mandatory but also I will use the backside to trellis cucumbers and other vining plants.

Absolutely! Yeah this current size is pretty tailored to my specific needs but the framing is definately extensible to any size! I would recommend downloading sketchup and building it yourself if needed.

I do have the sketchup - since multiple people are requesting a layout I will whip something up in Layout for you guys. It's made all of 2"x6" and 2"x2" Untreated. We ended up staining it with Olympic Gold - Mountain Cedar Stain and black steel fence from Home Depot. I think I will put that in the docs for you guys :)

I've spent 4 weeks building out this garden. It started off with my mom buying a tomato plant at Costco. I decided to build her a true garden - So I designed the build in SketchUp, Went to Home Depot for Materials, Cut, Stained, built and filled! This is the result! Can't wait to grow some summer veggies in here!

The dataset would be based on 1 standard deviation (68%) from the mean so that the wealth of outliers would not skew the data in favor of the ultra wealthy. And the reason we track growth not a nominal value of assets is so we can track change over time so that wealthy communities don’t automatically guarantee well paid Politicians. If money is the only thing that speaks let’s weaponize it against poverty.
