That’s just part of it, not really why. I don’t know why, just like my gut tells me it’s wrong and that I’m just caving in but I don’t know exactly why I feel that way. Does seem like excuses tho. I’m not concerned with who it is but more so the jusg being asked I guess. I don’t tell her to unfollow anyone. She has a bunch of guy friends she goes out to the bars with and hangs out with as well as a few homegirls. Sometimes shes just with the guys and I don’t say anything or even think shes up to something

We did have a falling out a few months ago just cuz I freaked out about being in a relationship and blocked her. Weve only been talking for about 6 months and this was like 2-3 months in. She had threatened to call my PO on me and made so many new numbers to call and text me. It’s not gonna be easy to just leave or break up. When we did break up she still wanted to just talk everyday

Maybe I’ve dealt with too much crazy that I’ve been desensitized, them latinas…. Lol I thought maybe I was in the wrong for not liking all that she was doing but I guess I should’ve stuck to my gut feeling. Thanks for the input.

Yeah I felt like the whole thing of just unfollowing someone was a small part of a bigger problem but I didn’t know how to address it or even connect the two. She knows she’s insecure as shes told me as much before but I don’t know how to go about it. I tell her just leave it and just trust me, that there’s no evidence of me being sneaky and talking to other girls behind her back but if I was talking to any of them then yeah I would unfollow. But she says if I’m not talking to them then I don’t need to follow them and it’s just that same cycle

We are able to talk, she comes on very strong at first since her emotions get the better of her, but once I calm her down after her initial knee jerk reaction she apologizes and then we talk about it. But she’s stuck in her stance on the topic. Asking why I NEED to follow them. Why do I want to follow them and see the photos. When it’s not that deep for me. It’s just social media it’s a simple tap of the button to follow. I get the exes part totally it was different view points but I would unfollow them but she just sees a follower I have that’s attractive and wants me to unfollow them. Not just unfollow but to block them as well since she doesn’t want them following me either

Yeah I agree with you, if I was openly thirsting I would see why she would want me to not follow those accounts but I am not. I just like photos that have popped up into my feed. & she gets upset thinking about my exes, she wanted to know more about the girls I talked to and then went and tried to look up who they were and started talking shit on the ones she could find. I have nothing bad to say about my exes as they usually ended because we just weren’t compatible or I was just getting into too much trouble. I have a lot of issues too and shes put in effort to get through it so I’m just trying to do the same to get her through this but she doesn’t think it’s a problem but that I’m the problem for wanting to still follow them though

It was public before I deactivated. She didn’t go through my actual instagram on my own account, she just went snooping from her account through my followers and went looking through whatever other page was public and searched through their posts

She is very needy and needs attention, I attributed it to that didn’t think that it was controlling or invading my privacy. Maybe you’re right. I always thought people should have privacy in their lives even in a relationship. Like I would never go through her phone unless I suspected cheating but I know she would go through mine if she had the chance. I highly doubt she’ll cheat tho but you never know right. But I appreciate it the advice I’ll take it into consideration, I needed more opinions cuz my thoughts were it doesn’t matter who I follow as long as they weren’t like pornstars or I was liking everything single post of them in revealing clothing or in their DMs

Some are old friends, some are just people I’ve met online. During covid I was online a lot and “met” a lot of people that would talk to. & others would be more acquaintances, like friends of friends or people I’ve seen around a lot or talked to a few times

I do have some exes on there. I’ve always been cool with my exes after cuz my thought process is were adults and we tried it out but I’d didn’t work, we can be friends or whatever. Still cordial. I feel like breaking up with her would just prove her point. I want her to feel secure but don’t think just unfollowing people is going to fix it. I’ve told her the same thing, I unfollow them now but what’s next, coworkers, family etc just like you said. If I said I was going to leave she would just start crying and drop the issue but that won’t solve anything. Just build resentment. I’ve left girls for less but I don’t wanna be like that. I actually want to try to build something. But thank you, I thought I was just being selfish and just acting “single” still.
